First Katy Perry makes fun of Lily Allen's weight and then Lily responds by insulting her musical abilities. Let's make a very long story short by reading a quote from Lily herself.

And then they found her… I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass.

Ouch! Lily is responding to something she heard - but who knows if it's true! I hate when successful females go at one another in public. Who do you think is right in this case?

katie's music is nothing like amy winehouses or lily allens. it wasnt a very good compairison, unless she meant she is a brunette like amy winehouse and lily allen. or maybe that she can't control her alcohol and drug use like the other two are known for having their problems with. either way it was in poor taste.

i do think katy perry is something created by a record label. she went from singing back up for hannah montana to singing about kissing girls and being 'rock'n'roll' that doesn't seem like it fits. plus, didn't katy have mean things to say about hannah montana or miley (i don't really know what to call her)? sounds like she's trying to get some credibility and come accross as being hard/ tough.

I do disagree about the talent though, Katy Perry has been packaged! right down to the false credit on her sheet music, and Lily Allen knows it. Lily Allen isn't like that she doesn't want to be controlled by anyone, and just the idea that she try's to do something different ads fuel to the stories that people make up to begin with. She ignores most of these stories that go out of they're way to make false claims, by that I mean about 96 percent of them, because she knows they are worthless, so your way off on the thick skin comment! She did not need to respond to this story, (made up by Perez Hilton) because they always write that she responds to stories when she doesn't!
