In addition to being romantic partners in real-life, Hollywood couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are partnering on-stage.They are preparing to star in an off-Broadway production of Uncle Vanya, which is being produced by the Classic Stage Company.
Maggie has been cast as Yelena, the young wife of an old professor.Uncle Vanya is a tragic comedy written by Anton Chekhov.Previews are scheduled to begin on January 17, 2009, with a limited run until March 1, 2009.An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Maggie and Peter are parents to two-year-old Ramona.
