Pete Wents Talks Baby Pictures
Pete Wentz took to his blog to clear up any rumors that might have been making the move about Bronx getting his own spread in a popular rag. Turns out, Ashlee Simpson and Pete are decided against it.

About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.
We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, “there is a bounty on our heads” for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. Its scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.
In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now - and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.

I would respect them a lot more if they didn't even talk about it. Just don't do it. Then I respect you. If you feel you have to explain it? Nah, sounds to me like maybe they weren't really offered any money and thus are making it seem like they didn't 'want' to do it.

^^Pete likes to blab about everything, so it's no surprise that he's talking about this "topic du jour".
This is interesting. It was being reported yesterday that they had been calling everyone trying to sell the pictures but nobody wanted them. Apparently these two just don't move magazines, and they didn't get a single offer.

I really doubt that because it seems like when magazines get a "no" from the celebs they spread false reports that they were the ones that said no to the celebs.

I think it's a very respectable decision and they did a great job. They considered everything (as outlined in the blog) and they deserve respect for what they decided. Plus let's not forget that no one has the obligation to pimp out their baby to the public.

i read in several places yesterday that page 6 was reporting they had no offers from anyone...
That's it! I just found where i read it, Dlisted, and they noted that their source was Page 6. "Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well."
These two have that stupid look about them. They belong in an airport handing out flowers and talking about the Sun God.
Good for him (if this is true!). I get annoyed when celebrities pimping out their babies - the babies didn't ask for this!!

I think it's a riot how he keeps saying "celebrities like us".
I still think if the right amount of $$ came along they will-Im not really interested in them anyway-and I dont think that many people are either..

plus-if "insiders" were telling the truth..i would agree with them..no one really cares that much about those two.
i know i've never cared about purchasing anything with their faces plastered on it.
I think they should sell the baby pics and get on with it. Eventually someone will get those pictures out in public, then they're worthless. Capitalize and donate the money if you don't want it. It sounds like a good plan at least.
