… in the movie Bride Wars, that is.In real life, stars Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson sat down with Modern Bride to talk about weddings (including the drama) and give an important warning for brides and aspiring brides.
Kate had some key advice for people planning a wedding.
Number one: Make sure
you’re ready to get married, that you’re really sure you want to do
this. And number two, I would say really good placement of the bar! At
a wedding you want to have a good time. Have special cocktails that are
really fun for people.”
Anne had this to say about the pressure on brides to look perfect:
I gave up my struggle
with perfection a long time ago. That’s a concept I don’t find very
interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the
photographs… Be happy. Be yourself. The day is about a lot more."
But while looking for that guy to have a wedding with, and during all the hustle and bustle leading up to the wedding, both women warn brides not to forget something: your girlfriends!
Kate thinks the relationships women have with each other are essential.
We all need girlfriends.
At my sister-in-law’s wedding shower, my mom said, “I want you guys to
look around at each other. At the end of the day, men come and go… Because when trouble
happens with boys-which it does-it’s your girlfriends who hold you up.”
Anne seemed to share this sentiment.
Most likely they will be
the most fulfilling relationships in your life and if not, certainly
the most consistent. This idea that you’re always there for each other,
no matter what… whether you are single, engaged or married. Think
about how much power that gives you in life!”

I’m sorry, but I saw a preview for this movie, and it looks absolutely horrible! I wouldn’t go if someone paid me!
Kate looks really old in that picture…..almost like she’s the mother and Anne is the daughter.

Anne is hot and knows what to do with her sexuality. Katie looks like she was rode hard and put up wet one too many times.

I heard Kate was mean to Anne when they filmed this movie. Kate thinks she is Hollywood Royalty, but Anne is by far the better actress, imo.

I agree this cover is bad photoshop. The last quote about girlfriends sounds cliché but my friends and I actually found ourselves discussing it this week and realizing that seeing eachother more will actually benefit all of our marriages in the long run.
Girlfriends, schmirlfriends. Kate we know you are all about the peen, and that’s it!
