Simon Cowell wants singer Britney Spears to appear on American Idol as a mentor to the contestants.You know, one of the professional singers who meets with the contestants and prepares them to butcher sing their songs that week.
I would love to see her mentor the contestants.
‘She would, literally, be first on the list, as far as I’m concerned in
any capacity. She was a riot. I loved it.”
Just to provide some context for Simon’s statement: Britney appeared on the British version of American Idol, The X Factor.Her performance on the show was described as “disastrous.”Britney was criticized for lip synching and refusing to meet the contestants.
In case you’re wondering if Simon has lost his mind famously sharp judgment, you should also know that Britney’s appearance pulled in some of the X Factor’s highest ratings of the season.
The buzz we had on our show was extraordinary.
‘And even with all that stuff that’s gone on with her the past two years,
there was more excitement and interest in her than I’ve seen in anyone in
years. She would be very, very welcome.”
I guess the contestants could view her as either a cautionary tale or an inspiration, given her comeback.
I’d say this all feels exploitative, but that’s pretty much the name of the game in reality TV, isn’t it?

Simon has talked trashed about Britney in the past, They only want her for the ratings. Besides she cannot mentor anyone much less vocally.
Whatever, her performance on X-Factor was not disastrous! Given what she’s been through the past year and was just hospitalized TWICE like 9 months ago, it was pretty decent. You could see that she was excited about it and she did fine. I’d love to see her do American Idol. She just needs time to get back on her feet while she’s on stage and get her confidence right, it’s been so long since she’s done this and she needs to take the baby steps to get to where she once was. But she would be great to see on American Idol as opposed to some of the older boring people that they had on the show. Britney doesn’t have a lot of SLOOOW songs, which is what the contestents usually try to sing on the show, so it’ll be cool to see them do some Britney songs, which are mostly very upbeat!
How can she be a mentor? She can’t sing. Well, I think she probably can but the whoremongering producers who run the current recording industry have no interest in talent. These artistic black holes have a formula that caters to the uneducated masses who think the garbage being produced is music. Anyhow, she has no body of work that would indicate that she could be an effective mentor.

its just evertime i see a pic of her, she is usually bigger than the person next to them, its so strange since she used to be so petite and slender, now she looks like a plus size quaterback its kinda gross and a total turn off maybe if her dad wasnt fatening her up she’d be thin

Her performance on the X-factor could have been much better. After all, this is classified as a talent show and the contestants are expected to sing live so you’t think the star guest singers would do the same. Britney isn’t big, shes a normal woman and I think she looks fab lately.
