Actress, singer, and American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson has announced what is believed to be her first performance since her mother, brother, and nephew were murdered last October.
Jennifer will be one of the singers who will perform at MusiCares Person of the Year gala this February.She will sing the songs of Neil Diamond.
Jennifer had planned to shoot a music video for her single If It Isn’t Love earlier this month, which had been scheduled before the murders, but she decided to postpone the shoot.
Jennifer’s brother-in-law, William Balfour, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion.
It’s good to see Jennifer starting to get out again after such a traumatic experience.I’m sure the holidays will be a trying time for her.Maybe having this performance lined up will be something for her to focus on, although it’s certainly no consolation.
