Cate Blanchett's Husband Is Very Much Against Plastic Surgery

Well, isn't this refreshing! Cate Blanchett's husband doesn't want the actress to ever get plastic surgery. Andrew Upton likes Cate just the way she is.
"I haven't done anything, but who knows. Andrew [Upton] said he'd divorce me if I did anything. I'm not a trophy. He likes the vessel, but he also wants to make sure the vessel is full."
In her new interview with Vanity Fair, the actress says she isn't obsessed with her looks because of her healthy upbringing and true love for acting.
"I'm not a spokesperson against the world of injectables," The
39-year-old actress says. "If you grow up in an environment where your
mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there? But I
didn’t grow up in that world."The reason I went to train as an actor was that I was interested in
it for the long haul," she adds. "You can become very self-obsessed,
but you've got to keep looking outward."
Besides, a body is supposed to change after having children... and in Cate's situation, make that THREE children.
"When you've had children, your body changes; there's history to it.
I like the evolution of that history; I'm fortunate to be with somebody
who likes the evolution of that history. I think it's important to not eradicate it. I look at someone's face and I see the work before I see the person..."
So, is that is for Andrew and Cate or will the couple have more kids? Only time will tell.
"Who knows? Don't close those doors. The world is very overpopulated,
but we do make nice ones. They all look like Andrew. To say
he has dominant genes would be an understatement."
She's so talented and down to Earth. Love this actress!

There's something very regal about her. There are few people that I think of us our generation's "Hollywood Royalty" but she's definitely one of them.

I find that a lot of guys are against plastic surgery other then for medical reasons (reconstruction, etc). That is unless they come from LA....

"In her new interview with Vanity Fair, the actress says she isn't obsessed with her looks "--- I haven't read one interview that she has done in the last 10 years where she doesn't talk about her looks and image --- post ten if you can find them
That's because of the lack of criativity from reporters, they always ask the same stuff...
or even two
a couple should weight all options and opinions regarding plastic surgery. I would expect my husband to weight in, however I would make final decision. Good thing is I know how much is too much. One thing is to enchace and refresh ones appearance (improve nose shape, remove undereye bags, balance small top to large hips but tasteful breast augmentation),another thing is to keep changing and never being satisfied with your looks(porn star breasts, crazy eye lifts, huge lip implants, botox overload). A line should be drawn. In other words one must look like a human being not a plastic doll or a poster for lastic surgery. Compare Jaclyn Smith to Holly Madison or Joan Rivers.
smart, beautiful and talented....we need more people like her!!! I agree with everything she said.
