Amy Adams and new fiance Darren Legallo were photographed leaving Barney’s in Los Angeles after spending a few hours shopping yesterday afternoon. Amy’s star is definitely on the rise and her new movie, "Doubt" starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman looks very interesting! While I won’t get to watch it in a theatre, this will most certainly be a renter.
While I was in High School, a priest was super friendly with all the students. He was so down to Earth and really kept it on our level. A few years ago, he was busted for molesting children long after my class graduated. The news picked it up and it was all over the papers and television. I couldn’t get away from it. All my friends got together to figure out if any of the men in our circle had issues with him while we were teens. Luckily, no one did… or at least they didn’t confess to it at the time. It was and still is such a shock. At this point, I believe the stories… but it’s very hard to register the truth.

I think you would know. It destroyed the lives of the boys it happened to around here that I know. I mean r.u.i.n.e.d. It is a difficult subject, and I don’t know if I could watch it in public knowing men it happened to. It has made me an activist for protecting children. I am curious to see if the movie shows the resentment the church still has from the exposure of the coverup, which did just as much, if not more, damage. At least in Greater Boston.
