I suspect that it was a quote reported in a UK publication, so whoever wrote it up changed diaper to nappy. BTW there is no need to be so snarky by the use of the word because, although I appreciate that it is hard for Americans to understand, not everyone in the whole world speaks American.
It appears to be intended as a direct quote, based on him speaking in the 1st person, so either it’s a bullsh*t quote or they completely made it up. I personally don’t care how quickly he can change a diaper. Or a nappy.

This is an old quote. I don’t know why it’s being made into a story now. I can’t believe people are so bothered by the word nappy. It’s not a big deal. Also it’s not unusual for British publications to change some words to British lingo. They always change mom to mum, etc.
changing diapers should have been his life calling instead of mediocre and spotty acting that made him millions. He would not be so proudly announcing it then.
