Howie Mandel Hospitalized
Whenever I see Howie Mandel filling in for Regis on Live with Regis and Kelly, I remember just how funny this comedian is. You don't get much of it while he is hosting Deal or No Deal because it's not that kind of show. But he is really entertaining to watch. So when I read on People that the host was hospitalized for an irregular heartbeat, I got a little nervous. Lucky for everyone, it ended up not being too serious and Howie is expected to be released sometime today.
"Doctors expect him to be released and back to work [Tuesday]," rep Lewis Kay says.
"He did not have a heart attack," adds Kay, refuting report
Mandel has a new show coming out which will put him filming in Toronto for the next few months. It's an NBC unscripted comedy series called Howie Do It and I can't WAIT to see what he does with it.

He is a funny guy. You are right , he doesn't get to show it much on Deal. I know he has a phobia about germs, if I was a germaphobe, the hospital would be the last place I would want to be. You can't get much worse than a hospital for germs.
Yeah, I read this somewhere else, and they said if you watch Deal or No Deal, he never shakes hands with anyone.

I heard someone make a good point on the radio this morning. Howie is a germophobe and it wouldn't be a far stretch to think maybe he suffered from a panic attack. He was also in an elevator when it happened which can cause anxiety for some. Who knows. Just thought that was a valid point. Panic/Anxiety attacks can feel like a heart attack and some people who haven't experienced them can make that mistake. I find it hard to believe that Howie has never had a panic attack before though.

I thought "Howie Do It" was already airing... We watched it this past weekend. It was very funny! Maybe the Idaho area was just a testing ground? I'm not sure... Sometimes we are. Anyways... Yes! Very funny guy! Hope he recovers quickly!
