I am a fan of the name Violet, but Seraphina i do not like...it seems to have some good meanings behind it & there is even a Saint Seraphina I believe, but its not for me.

Seraphine doesn't mean cheap literally. It's actually a character from a novel who was very cheap and whose name is Seraphin.

Thanks to my daughters, whenever I hear Seraphina I always think of the cat in Barbie Princess and the Pauper lol It's not my favorite but definitely not as bad as some celebrities come up with.

I had the SAME thought! My daughter is just a little younger than Violet and she LOVES that movie. I cant really argue with the name choice, my 7 year old helped name my second daughter... and we named her Amelia and call her... Mia. Im sure everyone with girls knows where that comes from.

FINALLY!!! I just wanted an answer, been checking everyday since they had her for her name. I can sleep tonight. It's cute though. Kinda like the nickname "Phina" better :o)

Well..it's not bad although I was just thinking that I hope she doesn't copy the British comedy show "Keeping Up Appearances". In the show the main character is named Hyacinth Bucket (which she likes people to pronounce Bouquet) and she has three sisters named Daisy, Rose and Violet. They are all a little wacky. At least Rose is her middle name.

I usually like names like this, but for some reason, I can't say I like it here. It's a bit of a mouthful.
Maybe I just think it sounds strange with the last name Affleck. Seraphina Affleck. I just don't like the way those words flow together. I was kind of hoping they'd pick another flower!

I love the name Seraphina. I had a friend in high school with almost the same name (Seraphina Rose) and she was and still is a lovely lady. Congrats to the Afflecks!

Serephina is lovely. But what is with the two middle names. Seems to be a trend lately.
Serephina is ok - not crazy about it. I just don't like it with the last name Affleck - it doesn't flow well.

Seraphina. It's a nice name. There is a charachter in the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman called Serafina Pekkala. She was a good witch, and i LOVED that series of books, so I like the name.
