Come On! Now This Just Isn’t Fair…

Rebecca Romijn was spotted strolling in Calabasas, California looking GREAT. No – strike that – make it "unbelievable"! The actress welcomed twin girls Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip into the world on December 28. YES – A MONTH AGO…. TWINS.

Sorry for the shouting. I just can’t believe it.

A month after I had my twin girls, I weighed 5 lbs LESS than my prepregnancy weight, which was right where I should’ve been. Know how I lost it so quick? Breastfeeding (or rather pumping in my case) for twins burns through HUNDREDS of calories a day, and mixed with the fact my babies were in the NICU and I was a stressed oout mess who wanted to barf everytime I ate didn’t help. Luckily, once they came home, we all adjusted (but the 5 lbs came back quick LOL)

question: do these celeb’s, after giving birth via c-section or natural, have immediate lipo done?

Seriously, my sister gave birth to twins and she was in great shape before, during and after giving birth! However, she did not remotely look this good. She was also breastfeeding!!!!

Alot of the stars in Hollywood have c-sections and get a mini-tummy tuck at the same time. It’s possible that she did that. If you look at the pictures of her right before she had the twins, she was huge! She can’t have lost all that weight naturally in only 4 weeks. Unless she isn’t doing it healthily. You also can’t workout or diet like crazy when you are breastfeeding, so maybe she isn’t breastfeeding and is working out a ton. When I had my 1st son I started working out alot soon after and it started to affect my milk, I wasn’t making enough for him. She also could have her tummy sucked into spanx. Brooke Burke makes a line of compression garments to wear after having a baby. They say if you wear one alot right after it helps flatten the tummy out.

I call Spanx & tummy tuck…She was in decent shape beforehand, but this is weird, its only been one month! Plus, she isnt what I would call a spring chicken. She is by no means old, but its not like she is in her early 20′s or anything.

She does look great! She is probably breast-feeding or pumping. My SIL breastfed and was skinnier a month after she had the baby than she was before she got pregnant. Since she’s not active (she’s just naturally thinner than most), she put some of the weight back on after she quit breastfeeding. Plus, she’s a stay-at-home mom now so she’s not out moving around a lot either. So it’s possible, without a tummy tuck and lots of exercise… breastfeeding for some is like a instant slimdown!

I would say she is breastfeeding, you can make out the line of a nursing pad under her shirt. Not everyone gets huge boobs after their milk comes in. I should know, I’m one of them, LOL!

WOW! I hope it’s spanx and her being tall. That would make me feel better anyway ;) Had my girl 3 days after she had her twins, did not gain more than I should have and still have 15lbs to lose. But it was my 4th and I am short LOL! So who knows. It must be tough to be a new mummy and have all the photos come out right after you give birth! Too much pressure!

Actually, wen you exercise during the pregnancy, you tend to lose the baby weight faster.

I think she is wearing a Belly Bandit. Lots of hollywood gals have been using the binding. It’s here http://www.9monthstogrow.com/maternity/belly-bandit.htm

Y’all are forgetting she has access to personal trainers, chefs, nannies, etc. so she’s got all the time in the world to exercise hard, eat right and get back into shape. Everyone always acts like these stars have our lives. When will you get that they do not? Their lives are TO-tally different.

New mothers should not wear flip flops.

  15. Anonymous says:

She looks great! But I’m pretty sure she’s wearing Spanxx under there!

  16. Gee Gee says:

    LOL…Vera is ok breath, breath….is ok. LOL…

  17. poetstar says:

When you start off small, you can usually go back small afterwards. Spanx and breastfeeding help though. She was a model for a long time though, she knows what to do.

If you’re in shape before and during the pregnancy your body will usually bounce back. Some women think pregnancy is a free ride to eat whatever they want and sit on their arse s all day.

  19. Anonymous says:

Come on now, not in a month!! I agree with you that if you are fit and healthy before your pregnancy you will bounce back faster, but not in a month!! It took me at least 6 months to take of the weight and even after that had toning to do where the baby had stretched out my belly and I was size 6 before the baby and healthy throughout my pregnancy and didn’t use being pregnant as an excuse to eat everything I wanted. I always had the baby in mind anytime something went in my mouth. Unfortunately for us regular women, Hollywood makes us beleive that these kind of one results are perfectly normal and healthy. I don’t mean to sound so serious, I love gossip as much as the next person, but these weight issues are really starting to bug me.

  20. Amy says:

Plus she is tall. I think tall women look thinner. They have more area to spread it out . She does look great.

  21. Sal V says:

So true, it is easier for tall women to look thinner after giving birth. Like you said Amy, we have more area to spread it out! LOL. After I gave bith to my second, I fit back into my pre-preg close in two weeks! thanks genetics!;)

  22. Pengey says:

    Spanx or not… wow!

  23. ito says:

    she really looks good…

  26. Sal V says:

Wuhoo… sorry for all the miss spellings. I ment to say that I gave b-i-r-t-h to my daughter and I also ment to say that I fit into my pre preg c-l-o-t-h-s. sorry y’all.

I have to disagree. It took me 2 weeks. Breastfeeding did it for me mostly. I couldn’t work out until I healed from my c-sec, but I continued my cardio and weight lifting throughout my entire pregnancy. I’m not skinny either…I’m 5’3″ and about 130 lbs. If you stay in shape, and eat reasonably, you can snap back in no time.

  29. Anonymous says:

I am sorry but I have to continue to disagree. I did everything right through my pregnancy. Ate good healthy well balanced meals, kept going to the gym straight through until late in my 3rd trimester (and even then continued walking outside as a good low impact activity) and when my son was born I breastfed him and it still took me 6 months. Of course I know that there are people who, for hereditary or genetic reasons, will lose the weight incredibly fast. What I am saying is that this is not the norm. Any doctor will tell you that a healthy and reasonable timeframe in which to lose your baby weight is a couple of months. A lot of people would tell me while I was pregnant “it’s taken you 9 months to put the weight on it will take you just as long to take it off”, I can’t say that is appropriate either. Bottom line, I just don’t think this unrealistic expectation that you will shed all your baby weight within a couple of weeks after giving birth is a healthy message to send to women. If it happens that you are “genetically blessed” (and I envy you with every fiber of my being) and you lose the weight in a natural and healthy way then more power to you, but I just know from my experience it was 6 straight months of hard work.
