While Rhona Mitra filmed ‘Underworld: Rise of the Lycans‘, she fell in love with her vampire fangs. In fact, she enjoyed them so much that she would rarely take them out of her mouth and keeps them in her purse to this day!
I loved my fangs. I have to say I grew very attached to them. They come with me everywhere. They’re in my bag now and it’s not even deliberate.
I put those fangs on the first day and I felt they should always have been there; it’s strange. So I kept them in through the entire time of shooting, throughout all my dialogue and everything.
“The director (Patrick Tatopoulos) said to me, “You know, you have the option to take those out because we can’t really see them,’ and I was like, “Nope.’ I was like a kid wearing their Spider-Man outfit all day and all night. I didn’t want to take them off. Maybe I was a vampire in another life!”
Not everything was peachy keen on set though. Rhona admits that the contact lenses she was forced to wear gave her trouble.
“I hated having to wear the contact lenses. They were the first thing to go at the end of every day. I was like, “Get these little creatures out of me!’”
Has anyone seen the movie? I did and quite liked it. But I am a vampire / werewolf kinda girl – so it was right up my alley. However, I still loved Kate Beckinsale in the originals. Wonder if she is going to come back for the 4th installment?

I hadn’t seen the other 2 movies, so I went and rented them on Saturday and went to see Underworld 3 on Sunday. It was EXCELLENT! I really was bummed when I realized it was a prequel and Kate wouldnt’ be in it but Rhona was FANTASTIC!!! I loved her on Nip/Tuck, too.
The entire cast is top-notch. Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen, et al.
I wonder if her lips are real? If so, then they are really nice!
