Brad Pitt’s dad was actually "horrified" by how crazy his son’s makeup for Benjamin Button looked. But, in the end, when the whole process was explained to him, he was proud of his son’s ability to suffer in silence.
"He said it was eerie. He looked pleased though when the director
explained that the make-up process took five hours every day and that
Brad sat there patiently never complaining.He (Bill) replied, ‘That’s how he was brought up: you get through it and you don’t complain."
Can you imagine spending FIVE HOURS in makeup?!? That’s out of control. All we see is the glam side of these actors lives. It’s easy to forget that there are serious downsides.

when I used to work in an office I also sat for 5 hours straight in front of the computer except I didn’t make millions. vera I’m so sick and tired of you praising them like they’re god! arrrrrgh.

Who is brad fooling?? He’s used to wearing make-up ordinarily and daily, to cover his critter face. He’s well known for his love of make-up in HW circle anyways. And I’ll bet he didn’t feel a thing under all the wax covering of botox, his facial nerves are probably numb and frozen. Nice try brad.

Brad is an actor it is hard work. 5 hrs make up everday then shooting the whole day is tiring. That is what his father trying to say. Ask anyother actor and they will tell you they won’t take this kind of parts usually because it is very tiring.

I think its so funny that people are actually defending Brad Pitt…C’mon people, he could have used those 5 hours a day to listen to a book on his iPOD or learn a language or listen to music. He could move during those 5 hours, he wasnt nailed to the seat. If he needed a break I am positive he got one. Actors are so pampered. He was probably getting hand & foot massages the whole time. Plus he makes millions. Some people actually dont realize how much money that is, they cant even fathom the amount. For ONE movie he will probably make more than most people will make in their entire working life, doing a much more complicated, annoying, draining job. Its obscene, so excuse me if we sound like “haters” when we make complaints about an actor getting praised for something as ridiculous as that. I am not even going to get started on the fact that actors only work like 6 months out of the year, IF that.
