Kate Winslet Is Too Emotional For The Oscars

After forgetting Angelina Jolie’s name in her acceptance speech during the Golden Globes, Kate Winslet’s emotions became headline news. Because of that Kate says she’s just not cut out for the Oscars.

I get very emotional about these things, I discover. I think I’m not
cut out for this. I’m too emotional to lose, and I’m too emotional to
win.

She wonders if she’ll ever learn how to deal with this time of the year.

I sort of wish there was some lessons in how to cope with awards
seasons, even though I’ve gone through it so many times before. It
always feels like the first time.

Personally, I don’t care too much who actually wins an Oscar or who doesn’t. It’s all about the fashion on the red carpet for me. Get me a bowl of popcorn and let’s start dissecting dresses. :)

I hope that her oscar speech will be less embarassing, really that was just awful to watch, it seemed phony.

love the red carpet…we never go to the movies either.

  4. Amy says:

I agree. I usually only watch the red carpet. Since I don’t go the movie theatre, chances are I haven’t seen any of the movies yet anyway.

I do hope Kate wins. It’s ridiculous that the likes of Angelina Jolie has a statuette and Kate does not.losethatgirl blog

Oh man this woman in incredible. The epitome of class, talent, elegance, & the real thing. I love this woman. I really hope she wins. All women could learn a thing or two about themselves from this amazing woman!

Love the boots, she rocks them, and they’re so simple and classic! I agree about the awards, but I’m sure it’s a little more important to those who dedicate their life and time to this craft.

all what she says sounds great, except she talks too much about how down to earth she is, how she is so humble, how she is not focusing on her weight. She might be better and more modest than Kim Kardashian but never forget that she is an actress and she used to pretend to be someone else.

  9. Gee Gee says:

Kate better get used to it because come Oscar night, she’ll be the one up there taking home the Oscar not “the other one”

I agree with Anon 10:42…Kate makes too much of a point to let us know how down to earth she is & blah blah…I like Kate, but it is starting to get on my nerves. I almost hope she doesnt win, so we dont have to hear a crying babbling mess of a speech & a whole year of quotes about her modesty & how she down to earth she has been about the whole thing.

  11. Gee Gee says:

I rather listen to Kate blab than Angelina and Brad and how ethnic their kids are and how Shiloh was born in Namibia and how one kid is from Vietnam the other from France and one from another country in Africa, how much they love and respect each other, how wonderful their lives are. How perfect Angelina is and how much he wanted to make babies with her, how Brad understands her and really connects with her. How brave she is…blah blah blah blah…………………

The only reason I’m watching is to see her get her Oscar! Crossing every finger and toe. She deserves it so much! The only reason we are hearing so many interviews with her about how down to earth she is is because it’s awards season and EVERYONE is interviewing her. I’m sure it’s grueling for her and she tries to come with new stuff to say at each one. LOL

I am so sorry to say it I have no role models outside my parents I want to look up to. You sound zombified, my friend. Actors have seized to be true thespians and it is all mass bs shoved down your throat. Kate might be better as compared to Hollywood trash. But by no means I find her to be the best for whom I will keep my fingers and toes crossed. Hollywood uses lowest common denominator, so it is easy to meet the low benchmark. Stop admiring these empty shells, start thinking about important issues.

I guess for the actors and actresses it’s an emotional tiring time but I’m like you – I only watch for the fashion!

the point is they are all the same and I do not care if it is their modesty or family. I do not want to hear about them. This is why I come here and put my 2 cents in.

  16. Gee Gee says:

I get you and you’re right you are entitled to your two cents. But, what you posted sounds like a contradiction; you don’t want to hear about them yet you frequent a celebrity blog site. This is all we talk about here, celebrity clothes, movies, kids, etc…

  17. lara jane says:

First off, I’m pretty sure you meant “Actors have ceased to be true thespians,” not seized.

Secondly, if we’re not here on INO to follow and support the celebs we adore, why are we? I’m pretty sure when she’s away from the computer, CL is “thinking about important issues,” (and you have no idea to whom she looks up!) It’s ridiculous for you to call her out when you’re surfing this site, too.

this site is pure entertainment…so to coin a phrase…leave capturing life alone.
