Most Absurd Maddona Story EVER
I can't even write this as a Fact or Fiction post because this story is SO ridiculous. I mean, it just cannnot be true.
Ok Magazine says that Madonna is jealous of her own daughter because of her youth and good looks.
"I think Madonna can't stand that Lourdes is growing into a beautiful teen. She seems envious of her youth and looks.
She knows Lourdes is going to be gorgeous and will get the attention of
the opposite sex. Knowing Madonna's taste for younger guys, it's a
matter of course that they'll be dating men the same age. It's
disturbing."
Madonna just started letting Lourdes have her eyebrows done.
"That was a battle Madonna eventually gave in to," the source says. "Lourdes recently had them shaped."
They even go so far as to say that Lourdes wasn't allowed to have her hair done for a Gucci event they both went to so that Madonna wouldn't have competition.
"Madonna refused to let Lourdes have a hairdresser. She probably didn't want her daughter to look better than her."
This MUST be fiction, right? RIGHT??????

Ah, yes I remember when Madonna was sitting backstage in the Truth or Dare documentary dressed like a Harlem hooker, and telling people that she ""DIDN"T'' WANT TO COMPROMISE"" HER ""ART" these are the kind of priorities that she'll grow up believing in (poor kid) Just a unibrow whore! because of her mother!
Madonna definitely gives off a psycho vibe. I would not be surprised if she was indeed *this* nuts and it was true.

I can't speak for Madonna, but I know a lot of moms have a hard time when their daughters begin to come into their own. It reminds them of who they used to be, what they used to look like , etc.
It could be true, some mothers compete with their daughters for lots of things including husbands. Is hard to believe but it happens.

Fiction. I think Lourdes, just like any teenager, probably was afraid to start getting her eyebrows waxed. Its painful. My own niece didn't start it til she was 18 because of the pain. I say this is total fiction!!!

Um, this might be true. Growing up, my mother, who was gorgeous in her day, was very very jealous of my youth. Soo I mean, it's out there.
My mom is like that too, always trying to make my friends and I feel bad about ourselves. She used to be gorgeous (she still is but dresses like she's in her twenties so it's not all good) and just can't face that she's getting older. I think for some people it's just a natural way to feel, you can't really judge until you've been in their shoes. If you're used to having things one way and then someone comes along (or time goes on) and changes it you will most likely be at least somewhat upset.
I'm not so sure it isn't the truth. Madonna is obsessed by age, she still thinks she's 20 something.
People are so mean. This story reminds me of Tori and Candy Spelling.
Lourdes looks like a younger latina Modonna. So she looks just like her mother. Just a little darker.

Madonna may be obsessed with her own appearance lately but I don't think she'd ever be cruel to her daughter or jealous.
It doesn't sound toooooooooooooo far fetched, Madonna still wants her youth and attention. As you can tell with still being on the concert circuit and dating younger men.

I agree that it doesn't sound too far-fetched. While it's very unhealthy I think this happens from time to time with certain women. My best friend and her mom both went on diets when we were teenagers and the mom turned into a green-eyed monster when my friend lost weight quicker than her and pulled it off nicer due to her youth. It was sad.

While I dont think Madonna stopped her from getting her hair done ( they always have to go to far with stories ) I can totally see Madonna looking at her daughter and seeing what used to be and pining for it. If Madonna was growing old gracefully then I wouldnt believe it. But shes fighting it tooth and nail so yes its possible.
i think it's fiction. Madonna just wants to give her daughter a normal life.. I give Madonna credit. Lourdes has turned out to be such a normal girl. You never hear anything negative of Lourdes. Lourdes seems very down to earth, not spoiled like that girls now a days that come into money and fame. Lourdes comes from a mother who has done it all.

I think it "seems" kind of obvious that Madge is not all that excited about getting old, But I find it hard to believe that she is jealous of her daughter, Her daugther is very pretty, and much so more than Madge, but that is something should should be proud/happy about, after all it is partically her genes that made her.. yeah?

Well, Madonna is fighting hard to stay youthful looking because look at all the plastic surgery and botox, hair bleaching, excessive exercises and diets that she's doing and not only that she's dating some 20 year old and let us not forget how she dresses. Madonna does not age gracefully that's for sure. Having said that, I don't believe she is jealous of her daughter...just looking at the pics of them together, they seem very close and protected of each other. Oh and I really do hope Madonna let her daughter wax her eyebrows and her upper lips - she could look so pretty. She's way too hairy looking right now.

I think its TOTALLY true! Madonna is a control freak and a publicity hound. She won't let anyone stand in her old-haggard way...not even her daughter...who happens to look very much like her.
I hope she is not jealous of her clothes! Is it just me or is her clothes awful or what? I have teenage nieces and they do not wear clothe like that. At least the outfit she is wearing with her father, it is just plain awful, shorts with socks up to her knees and a tank top with a sweater?
Good Lord Vera, sometimes I think your responses to gossip are too naive. Madonna seems like she would totally do this kind of stuff. I mean she did say she wanted to look 12 years younger, right? She's had so much plastic surgery to look youthful, why wouldnt she be jealous of Lourdes?
I think it's probably true.
But I also think that Madonna wants what is best for her children, and I'm sure that she doesn't do it intentionally: meaning I don't think she's like the jealous MEAN type of mother who won't let Lourdes do anything. [Like something simple as getting her eyebrows waxed. Lourdes probably didn't want to do it, or she was scared.]
Madonna seems like she'd be the mother who would want to be best friends with her children, to be the "cool mom". There's no doubt that she wants to be younger though. I just don't think it's as bad as what they're saying.

She is just coming to the age when that becomes something a girl is concerned with. Could Madonna be jealous? Perhaps, my mom was, we talked about it when I was an adult. It was more to do with being too much alike in all aspects than looks. What teenage girl doesn't have boundary testing with their mom?
This has been happening since the beginning of time. Women just never want to accept that emotion because of the massive pressure for mothers to be loving and nurturing. For time immemorial, women have jealously watch their daughters bloom while their own waist thickens. Especially with the high divorce rates, women are neurotically self obsessed that the men they date might find their daughters attractive, which usually does happen. Americans are so naive and out of touch. Come to Europe there are at least a dozen movies devoted to this, the one that comes to mind is the French movie Indo Chine in which a French soldier dating Catherine Deneuve stationed in Vietnam ( which was a French colony ) falls madly in love with her adopted Vietnamese daughter...wait a minute, isn't that what Woody Allen did!

Of course Madonna is jealous. We all know how bad she wants to be like, 18 again.
we are talking about madonna here, so everything is possible. look at her past and it will clue you for a present. however, this may be a guess or an observation, because i doubt she will share this info with anyone.
The thought occurred to me recently that Madonna must marvel at how lovely her daughter has become... and that one day Lourdes will be a stunning woman who will have a lot (more!) of attention paid to her. Madonna's issue may not be jealousy as such, but a now-deeply rooted fear of aging. This is not rocket science, and I am not the first person to say so! One only has to look at the history of Hollywood to see what the inevitable will be. Madonna has been long re-shaping her face, not simply re-inventing herself through hair, make-up, wardrobe. She wants to be in and stay in the spotlight. Lourdes represents a new ideal at this point. But I am certain that as a mother and someone who appears to be a very concerned individual (eg Malawi), Madonna is genuinely proud of her daughter.
