Sarah Jessica Parker is so synonymous with her Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, that it’s actually hard to believe she’s not the same in real lief. However, SJP says that when it comes to fashion, the two women don’t share the same feelings. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Sarah spills the beans,
“I don’t have the Carrie Bradshaw passion and devotion to [fashion],
but I would much prefer that life would allow for a beautiful shoe all
day long.”
When asked what fashion item she couldn’t live without, Sarah replied,
“My son! My husband! Food! Oh, fashion? I don’t know. A good bra?”
Harper’s Bazaar also asked her what Carrie Bradshaw would do in an economic crisis. She answered,
“She would probably end up in a hospital. Perhaps she would go back to her ’80s stuff and start bringing it out again.”
SJP also adds that she most of the time tries to stay away from the Sex and the City tour buses.
“Ah, yes, I run into it. There are times when it’s totally terrific, and there are times
when I’m like, Oh, God, I’d better run in the other direction.
Especially when I’m with my son.”
Lots more, after the jump!
On what she’d wear to renew her vows:
“White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day. James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black? I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’ Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”
On her advice for surviving modern celebrity:
“Don’t surround yourself with bodyguards and SUVs, and return everything you are loaned in the shape in which you received it. Return jewelry, return bags, clean out the bags!”
On TV’s current closest thing to Sex & the City — Gossip Girl.
“Are the characters sexually active? I hear it’s pretty sophisticated, the content. Is there any concern over the impression that it’s making on young women? I’m not asking in condemnation, but I’m just curious.”

This makes sense to me. Look at the pics with her son.
Is it me or is her nose a little TOO airbrushed in this…it doesn’t even look like her!
WOW!! they really photoshopped the hell out of Sarah. It looks like she had plastic surgery; It doesn’t even look like her. Why bother having a person on the cover, if you’re going to then turn around and make them look like someone else?
But she sure has a passion for Photoshop!
That’s so weird. It’s impossible to picture her any other way. I can’t believe how far from the character she actually is in reality.
How gay is her husband???????
We must thank Photoshop because seeing how people really look can be depressive and the point of reading magazines is because somehow we like how “perfect” the celebs and the models look in the photos, it is all an illusion, but if I see them fat and looking old in a cover chances are I will not buy the magazine, a sad reality, but it is true and I can’t hide it.
I’m so confused.. I thought she and her husband were divorcing? True of False?
I’m really surprised to read this. She’s always so fashionable on the red carpet, interviews, etc…..besides Gwen Stefani, I always thought she is one one of the most fashion forward ladies in Hollywood. And she has her own label, Bitten. Hmmmmmm ***annie***
How come this cover is different than the one on Bazaar’s website?
