Celebrities On Stamps?

Oscar-winners Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush and Russell Crowe are all currently featured on special-edition 55-cent stamps in Australia. The stamps show the actors in their most famous roles, and as themselves out of character.
"Something like this - when you see your face on a stamp - says 'wow,' " Kidman said about the honor.
What do you think about this idea? Would you buy a stamp if it had your favorite celebrity on it?

I like the look of the stamps because they do not seem OVERLY photoshopped.

I was just about to say the same! Good to see that these stars have wrinkles just like the rest of us. As for your question, Vera, I would buy stamps of my favourite celeb. It would be a nice collector's item.

I have some Audrey Hepburn, I bought a ton, and saved some and used them for personal letters. I loved them!
I wouldn't buy on of these stamps either. I do have to say though, all those comments on Nicole Kidman getting tons of botox, aren't proving true in this picture. She looks fantastic, but she has wrinkles (no problem with that, she's still gorgeous!)

I would want a stamp with Gerard Butler on it, but as he's from Scotland, I doubt he'd appear on a US postage stamp. :( Maybe Australia will make a Hugh Jackman stamp. I'd buy a few of those!! ;)

Okay, this is going to sound ALL BAD, but I usually only buy stamps with deceased people on them. So yes, I'm weird, but this is weird to me!

I don't know... I wouldn't say no to buying stamps with Viggo Mortensen on them!!!!
No wonder Nicole Kidman feels she needs to get botox, with all these comments like, "wow, she looks so aged!" How old did you think she was, exactly? I think she looks pretty amazing! Better than when her face is porcelain and stiff from the botox!
I still wouldn't go out of my way to buy these stamps!

That is just stupid...Unless you are a stamp collector I dont really see the point...I would also hardly call an actor, especially at their ages, an Australian legend...please! They are really reaching here...And I thought classic cars were silly on a stamp.
she does look old - Nicole- bet your butt she gets that frozen asap
I would like a Clive Owen stamp. Now there's a stamp I'd like to lick. LOL!
I'd buy a Ville Valo stamp every time.
Hell No--well, maybe if it was someone hot and TALENTED! (Which Kidman is not.)
That's certainly an old photo of Russell Crowe. He hasn't looked like that for a while!
wow nk looks old! i think it's her hand... and her hair
I would buy stamps with someone I liked on them. I would never buy any thing with kidman on it . Except maybe toilet paper. It would be funny to wipe my butt with her ugly mug maybe.
This is ridiculous
I'm from Australia and we are so used to having our stamps changed every couple of months. They dont run them as limited editions or special stamps. Basically if I needed to post something and I went to buy a stamp I would just be given one of these shown. We have had native birds, cars, sports stars, butterflies, flowers, anything you can think of we have probably had on our stamps. So it isnt a big deal like.. ohhh we must buy these stamps. Its just part of life.
