Who Is Duffy Without Her 60s Style? New Sound Planned For Second Album

I'm curious to hear what Duffy fans think about the following news tidbit. Turns out the singer's second album isn't really going to be anything like her first. In fact, Duffy plans on making a CD that sounds very Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera. But what about her 60s sound? Don't we have enough pop?
According to Britain's Daily Star,
"Duffy and the team around her are very aware at how successful she has been by channeling the ’60s vibe, but they are already starting to think about album number two.
"She is keen to explore a Mariah (Carey) or Christina Aguilera style of album. On the next record Duffy can afford to be a bit more experimental now that she is assured her position as a singing force to be reckoned with."
I'm all for experimenting... but I hope Duffy doesn't give up her sound completely. What do you think about the plans for her second album?

like katey perry she just jumped on the 60's waggon. this and next year may be very hippish or/and about the 80's, so we are gonna see a lot a change with the female singers.

Why mess with a good thing? I'm tired of the Christina and Mariah sound alikes. We already have WAY too much pop music!

I really hope not! I play her cd to death, thanks for turning me on to her, Vera. She is Winehouse without the trainwreck. I love the soulful scorned heartbreak with no references to coke, heroine, etc. Play it to death. My four year old asked me what delayed devotion was!
Does anyone else think she has a slight Dolly Parton look?
I expect Duffy fans think .... oh that story originated in the Daily Star and they make up most of their stories down the pub.
Duffy fans, too switched on to believe anything they read in London's most down market and unreliable rag. LOL
I hope she doesn't abandon completely what people fell in love with. There is no more need for commercial pop crap, we're saturated enough already. though christina does have a powerhouse voice, duffy should stick to the obscure scratchy twang...it makes her more desirable. I did here an old song of hers on You Tube...called I melt...which was quite good...so if she is thinking something like that...than i would be game. But don't sell out...you don't need to b/c people already want your music.
