Michelle Pfeiffer Loves Being 50

Turning 50 was no big thhhaaannngg for Michelle Pfeiffer. In fact, she is enjoying watching her leading men get younger the older she gets. Well, if that isn't a perk... then I don't know what it. LOL!
"It seems that my leading men just keep getting younger the older I get. It seems that people have an aversion to casting people of the same age - luckily for me, I don't really mind it."
All the worrying about hitting the "big 5-0" was pointless for Michelle because the actress realized her profession was actually benefiting from the aging process.
"The older you get, the roles actually become more interesting. If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 - and I was surprised at how liberating it was.
"The anticipation of something is always much worse than the reality."
Isn't that the truth!

She is looking GREAT!

Sweet kiddo, I'm turning 40 in two years. I try not to think about it much. But I hear 40s are even better than 30s :) I hope so! In 12 years I'll be 50. YIKES!

i know all the woman i know said that it wasn't a big deal and that they didn't felt a difference but i just can't figure myself being 40 !! it's feels like 10 years after you turn 50 and then after another 10 years you are officially old (lol) and i don't want that !! i wanna be healty and being able to do all those i like doing now later ... ok i'm done had to get it out off my chest !!! ;) how about you ?! why don't you wanna think about it ?

I don't want to think about it for the same reasons plus the gray hairs I fight off with a stick and the help of a box of hair color. But I have to say that my 30s were way better than my 20s and I hope my 40s are even better than my 30s. Just from the standpoint of knowing who I really am and liking myself. We think we know who we are but I think with age and life experiences we learn more everyday and to appreciate ourselves!

oh the horrible gray hair!!! but hey what can we do about it !! gotta live with them ..and you are right about getting to know and liking who we are more every day, from that point of view i kinda like the idea of getting older , you are making me think that it might not be so bad after all getting older if you let go of the fact that our body is really gonna change for the worst (!!) but our mind is gettin at peace with who we are . you 're a smart woman :)
Classy lady should give a pep talk Madonna with a two by four! Oh Wait! Madonna did it herself, unfortunately.

I am 40, and though it was a tough birthday for me, I have to say I like myself a lot more now than I did in my 30s and DEFINITELY my 20s. Same goes for a lot of my girl friends my age and older.
Michelle Pfeiffer had her nose done in the 80s, google it and see before and after pics. Further, in the mid 90s, People mag ran a pic of her with tired red eyes and lots of crows feet around her eyes and they got in trouble. Well, she hid out for a while and voila! A new face, gotta love Hollywood.

Meryl Streep should listen to what Michelle has to say and stop complaining about her life.
