Zac Efron Buys Million Dollar House, Doesn't Have Bed

High School Musical has been good to Zac Efron. The actor just laid down a cool $1.5 million dollars for a new home in L.A. Too bad he's still sleeping on the floor though!
"I don't have a bed. I'm on an air mattress! I've just moved
in, I have no furniture. But I've got a decorator. He's kind of a
friend."
However, in Hollywood, laying down millions doesn't mean anything splashy. Zac says,
"It's very modest. It's not a big house. It's pretty cool. A lot of my friends were like, 'Dude I want to own a house.'"
If he wanted to never work again he probably wouldn't have to. Being a Disney star definitely has its perks.

switchstance 5: He's probably going to start promoting his new movie 17 Again that will come out soon. Sadly, it looks kind of entertaining haha ... Am I the only one that finds it sad a teenager can buy a million dollar house and then furnish it when people who have worked hard for years are losing their homes??

Is this his first home? $1.5M won't get you much in L.A., but I suppose when you're young and running around & working all the time, you don't need much!
I read a while ago that it was more like $2M. It's a very cool house, sort of has a wide open, outdoors feel.
He's going to start promoting 17 Again. It will be in theaters on April 17.
Oh, BTW, Stephy, he's not a teenager, but your point is well taken.
I love High School Musical and I love Zac Efron! I read a great review of my favorite song, Can I Have This Dance, at EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) and they called it “Fantastic” and gave it 4.25 stars. I couldn’t agree more, but I’m a little confused, is Zac presenting, performing, both? And does anyone know who he’s taking?

Umm...In LA (especially Hollywood), 1 million dollars isn't gonna buy you a big house. It will buy you a regular sized home at best...a decently nice one IF YOU'RE LUCKY. So yeah, his comment about it being modest sounds about right.
God, why do we care about these 12 year olds??? Who cares. He's cute but a flash in the pan. Do you think he will be around in another 5 years? I don't.
