Who knew that the Lazzies even existed!? Latina.com posted the winners for their second annual Lazzie Award list and the new mom took home two of the top prizes. This is a bit offensive isn’t it? Things can still be racist even if they’re put out by their own race. So since the Latino community has basically condoned things now like saying “No Espeak Espanish”, can I, as a non-Latino, go around saying that, and mocking Latinos for it too, and not be considered racist?

hee hee haa haa I read that as “Lezzie Awards.”

  3. katgib13 says:

What happened to her? She used to be gorgeous! Now she’s frumpy and, IMO, not pretty at all anymore.

    What next? Bazzies for blacks?
    Azzies for Asians?

  5. KT says:

its not racist, get over it. jessica is just a shit actress!

    hahaha ME TOO!! damn hangover…………

  7. Anonymous says:

Awesome. Glad to see EVERYONE is noticing how God Awful this bitches acting skills are. PATHETIC. I cannot believe she actually gets hired. And her new ‘look’ is beyond ugly.

This post seems a little racist and offensive… It is like Latins are not allowed to do the same Americans do… I never thought I’d find that in this in site :(

That’s ridiculous! There is nothing racist about this. The Razzies Award exists and we don’t call that racist. That Lazzies were put together by Lations themselves. Lightly up.

  10. Anonymous says:

How the hell is the racist? Its an award for suck ass acting. Who is offended?

  11. Ladylala says:

Oh please. You may not be a fan, but unless you look like Gisele Bunchen (And I REALLY doubt you do) you CANNOT call Jessica Alba “beyond Ugly” because that is clearly not true.

  12. mascara says:

I actually think Gisele is unattractive

  13. lettibe says:

    I so agree w/
The Setting Us Back Award for Negative Stereotyping on a TV Show – Viva Hollywood and Best Reality TV Trainwreck Female – Daisy de la Hoya (Rock of Love) …LOL

  14. gia says:

The Lifetime Underachievement Award – Luis Guzman…I like him…He seems like a very interesting guy…Plus he is so unique looking, its not like he can just get ANY role.
I dont find Alba or her new look “beyond ugly”, but I also dont see her appeal, she has zero talent & her looks are completely average. Sometimes she even looks puppy-ish to me.

I’m a Latina and these awards sounds like were a bunch of bitter, fickle, and mean people. I agree with most of the list though : ) except the shady one. I think shady means doing something bad/wrong and well their choice is only based on there disagreement with someon’s choice which isn’t bad/wrong but different from their preference or choice.

  16. Gee Gee says:

yes valcat I agree with you, but Eduardo Verastegui’s choice is stopping someone else from making their choice and living their life. Granted, he has a right to believe what he wants, and there is nothing wrong with that. I think about how I would feel if someone where to tell me, I can’t love/marry the person I want to be with. I don’t think we hetero’s have the marriage thing down right anyway. To some is like a joke, marry today, divorce tomorrow. Anyway, this post is not about gay marriage, so I don’t want to make it about that, enough said.

  17. monette says:

Wow she finally won not one but two awards!

  18. Anonymous says:

These categories are too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People getting offended need to lighten up. The Lazzies were PUT TOGETHER by a LATIN magazine. THINK people!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Gee Gee says:

I’m Hispanic and I don’t find these awards offensive, they are funny, not everything is racist. Especially when is the same race calling their own out. I love it when celebs get knocked off the pedestal they put themselves on.

  20. Anonymous says:

The Razzies don’t focus on one particular ethnic group. And you know that if any non-Latino/a group put these together, it would be a huge deal, and it would be considered racist/ethnic stereotyping, but it’s okay because Latinos are doing it themselves.
