From Oscar winner…to Playboy? This is insulting isn’t it!?
Hugh Hefner is just putting the offer out there. He’s hoping to convince Best Actress, Kate Winslet, to join the ranks and bare all for Playboy Magazine. No word yet on how much money is on the table, but I’m sure it’s no small sum.
When asked for comment Hef would neither confirm or deny, simply saying,
“There’s no question we would
be interested in Kate.
It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most
welcome addition in our pages.”
Does anyone else think it’s interesting that lately we have been hearing a LOT of random Playboy rumors? Since the magazine isn’t doing so well, maybe these stories are coming from an insider just trying to keep them in the media.
And FYI, don’t get too excited. Kate was recently quoted telling people she was going to stop getting naked!
“I don’t want to be known as that actress who gets her kit off.”

Playboy and other companies always spread rumours and false offers to the media for free publicity. All areas of the media will report this and it will generate sales and/or traffic to their websites. A few months ago Taco Bell released a public offer for the rapper 50 cent to change his name to 59 cent to promote their value menu. He sued them because it was a publicity stunt that he wasn’t involved in. Odds are Kate doesn’t even know or was even contacted by Playboy.
Kate’s dress is hideous. No symmetry and boring colors. Fine if you’re a frumpy 60+ year old. Not even excusable that it’s YSL.
I wasn’t impressed with her dress and her hairstyle either, way too old for her. As for Kate Winslet not wanting to be known as the one who always gets he kit off… well, it’s a bit late for that now after she dropped everything so many times! Her middle name could be Helen!!!
Yeah.. She’s gotten into really good shape latley and that dress didn’t do very much for her.
Playboy is just icky & dirty now & apparently desperate …Plus, Kate has been naked in so many movies there wouldnt be much of an element of surprise now would there?

NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, but everyone has already seen every inch of her… give or take.
Geez, I think Playboy should stick to the Aubrey o’days and Kim Kardashians and leave Kate alone! Shes too classy for that. I thought Playboy was in some financial trouble, wouldnt really surprise me to hear that theyve been spreading all the rumors about themselves. Kinda feel bad for Hef tho.
Kate is way too classy for Playboy. The nudity she does in her movies isn’t completely gratuitious, has a purpose. Playboy’s purpose is only to cash in.
I think Kate’s Vanity Fair shots were well done and plenty sexy. I hope she doesn’t rule out future roles that involve nudity because she’s someone who is so confident with her body that the rest of us can look up to.
Definitely wonder if Playboy is just trying to keep themselves in the media.

As Anonymous at 2:01 stated, we’ve pretty much seen it all already, what would be the point? She doesn’t need it. Especially now that she’s got an Oscar!
Oh gosh, Playboy really needs to stop planting these rumors. It seems like they are after any actress that gets some good media lately.
