Arnold Schwarzenegger Keeps Acting

Arnold Schwarzenegger Keeps Acting

AHHHH-Nald, aka Arnold Schwazenegger has just been confirmed to play a role in an upcoming Sylvester Stallone film.

Shooting on the film, "The
Expendables,"
will begin March 28 in Brazil and move to New Orleans for
two months. Main [Stallone's publicist] says the governor will shoot his scene in Los Angeles.

His role will be a familiar one: California governor.

So the news here isn't so much that Arnold has a new movie...it's the question of whether or not our politicians should be actors? As long as Arnold is still in office, are you all ok with the idea that he continues with his Hollywood career?

Not the governor of California. Between the budget and Octomom he should have plenty to do.

Why shouldn't he continue acting??? All of Congress are actually actors anyway, so big deal!!!

No. He should be concentrating on his current job as governor. He should be worrying about all the govt workers he is laying off. He should be attempting to fix this education crisis (teachers are going on strike and full on leaving for pete's sake). He should be figuring out how much money to give to repaving roads, finishing bridge projects, etc. He should be wondering what to do about that stupid monorail no one should have voted for. If he's going to make a movie he should give all that money he earns to California!

He already does not take a salary as governor, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did something else other than pocket the money. As a resident of California I don't really care that he is doing this. It is a cameo and will take at the most a couple days. Even the president goes on vacation. Taking a few days off work will not impact the crisis here in the least and it's not like he is the only player making the decisions for the state. The damage had been done (I agree 100% about the ridiculous monorail) but the hole is so deep that it will take much more than the couple days he may be gone to make progress move forward.

This is why I never took him serious as a governor. He needs to do his job as a governor; if he wants to act after his term fine. When Clint was mayor he didn't act, infact he took a break from acting, did his job and was very good at it.

I'm really glad I'm not a resident of California. I'd be having a shit fit right now if I was

If he donates the money he makes on the film for this little cameo and designates it for public education (where our schools are currently under a spending freeze and jobs are being cut constantly), sure go for it. Otherwise it's a needless distraction, and he has enough going on as the captain of our sinking ship without flaunting what a jack hole he is by taking time away from his CURRENT job for another. Sure, maybe it won't take more than a couple days but it's just another joke to add to our Ahhhh-nold arsenal. God I can't wait to have a real governor again (it's been too long since we've had anyone upstanding in that office) and let this one get back to his acting career.

As long as he does it during his time off, is fine. We missed him as an actor :) I would prefer tos ee him as a terminator though

I love Arnold. You Cali residents are confusing. You voted him into office! TWICE! Come on now.

I, personally, am glad he's making a cameo in a movie. Only couple of days to shoot and his fans get to see him in another movie. Sweet!
