Samuel L. Jackson Makes Cinematic History

Do you like Samuel L. Jackson? Do you like the Marvel comic character, Nick Fury? Marvel sure does, and hopefully you do too, because Sam has just signed an "unprecedented" 9 picture deal with Marvel to play Nick Fury.
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it.
This means that Sam will play the character of Nick Fury in 9 different films. He'll reprise the character in Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers, and its sequels.
He may also star in a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie if it makes it out of development.
I've always considered Samuel L. Jackson to be a one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable actor, a man who personifies "cool" and "hip," so well done, Mr. Jackson!

I just read this on comingsoon.net I am excited ! this is good news for Marvel, because he came in the last final moments of Iron Man and now everyone sees him as Nick Fury so glad he signed the deal .. love him :)
Cool! There is only one Samuel L Jackson! I'm sure he won't be the main character in all the movies, some are probably just minimal roles.

Samuel Jackson owes me $21.78 for the piece of sh!t movie I bought of his on DVD -- Lake View Terrace. That movie svcked so hard!!! What a let down.

it's sure a fun experiment and s.jackson was great in spheres, but it's ashame that it will mostly be nearly "straight to dvd shelf" movies. i mean, thor?? please.

I think they should stick with the comic book look of Nick Fury. I love Samuel Jackson but Nick fury isn't african american.
I agree totally, but when marvel created the Ultimate universe, Nick Fury became Black as was drawn dead on as sam jack. It was written... who else could they play (for those who read comics) that could capture the personality of nick?
Nick Fury from the Ultimate Universe is black and looks just like Sam Jackson, they even made a joke about it when the book first came out that if there was ever a movie version of the Ultimates Nick Fury said that the only bad ass around that can play him is Sam Jackson!! Awesome btw, when i saw iron man the crowd went nuts at the end!! Somehow they have to add him the XMen movies cause they are starting to suck...
