After 12 Years, Paula Abdul Is Finally Pain Free!

After 12 Years, Paula Abdul Is Finally Pain Free!

I am so HAPPY for her! I know someone who has constant back pain because of a car accident and it's really a terrible thing to have to live with.

Paula Abdul has made it no secret that she suffered from chronic pain for over a decade.

Today the American Idol judge announced that after her 15th surgery (OMG!!), she is finally pain free... and medication free. Paula has weaned herself off all prescription pills since she no longer needs them.

Ok! Magazine reports,

For the first time in 12 years, I am pain
free. I had my 15th surgery to correct my back and neck problems last
August and it worked. Finally! I had a new doctor who tried a new
procedure and because of that I’m a new woman. I may have to have one
more surgery in the spring but after all this, I can handle it."

Not only am I pain free, but I am pain-medication free. I weaned myself off everything I’d been taking."

Congrats!

I am happy for her...She even looks fresher in the face, I wonder if she had some Botox or some other procedure done or if being pain free has naturally relaxed her face.

Good for her. I know how she feels. After 20 years of severe pain from endometriosis, I had major surgery to correct it last year and I feel like a new woman too. It's wonderful to not depend on pain medication anymore.

Myself, mother, grandmother, and aunt suffer from MS. You are a jerk.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

MS has nothing to do with the story. You're the jerk.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

That's terrible, but...what does that have to do with anything? Did I miss something here? Does Paula have MS? or do you have Tourette's as well?

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Chronic pain is the most dibilitating symptom of MS. Do I have Tourettes as well? Seriously... what kind of person are you?

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I agree heartless a s s hole. If you don't care don't post you idiot!

I didn't say I don't care, and I did say it was terrible that she and family members suffer from MS, but I genuinely don't understand why someone would just blurt that out! I had to read the story twice to figure out if Paula has MS and I missed it. I really and truly didn't understand why someone would just blurt that out. It seemed odd to me and at least one other person...

I'm happy for her. Pain like that sucks. I was hit by a drunk driver when I was 19, and it messed up my back. They could never find exactly what was wrong, so I suffered. Then in July 2008 (at 35 yo), I had to have a cage placed between two vertebrae. Apparently, my disc was so damaged, they had to remove it. I'm still recovering, but I feel 100% better. I get achy sometimes, but the actual pain is gone. I couldn't be more happy for her. It's miserable.

Paul may be pain free, but certainly not drug free!

why do you people say she is addicted to drugs and alcohol. she is NOT!!! i have family members who have ms and was addicted to drugs, paula is nothing like them and you have no right to be saying that some people just act a little like that i do it sometimes but im not even old enough to drink and hate taking any type of pill!!!
