Shannen Doherty has taken on a new job… and it isn’t related to the television or movie industry. The actress has become an art director for the monthly California publication Pasadena.

Shannen is now in charge of choosing cover designs and handling photo spreads. Guess she was looking for a change!
Her spokesperson told Us Weekly,
"Shannen’s always been interested in magazines. She’s learning how tough it can be, but it’s just a great creative outlet. She’s already booking covers and working on photoshoots."
What do you think about this change of career? Is it because she didn’t want to work in the industry anymore? Or was it the other way around?

Did she even go to or graduate college? How did she land such a decent job? Its not like she has experience or anything…Being interested in magazines isnt really enough to be an art director, but if so, sign me up! Thats like saying someone has always been interested in cooking & now they are executive chef…WTF??
How ironic. Back in the 80′s there was a fanzine about her called “I Hate Brenda”.

Well maybe it’s just something she’s wanted to do. And people still follow HER around and take pictures so we’re the one’s keeping her in the spotlight. She did something similar (photography) as a character on Charmed so she probably just likes it and had the opportunity to do it. I know i would. Geez people.
I think she’s smart in looking at other career options. Her star is not shining as bright anymore and it’s good to be looking at doing something else.
I’m sure she got the job because of her “celebrity”. The magazine probably thought it would get more publicity with her on the payroll. If this was the case, she wouldn’t need actual experience to get the job.
I mean seriously, have any of you ever heard of this publication BEFORE this story came out??? My point exactly.
What the hell?? That job should’ve gone to, duh, a graphic designer. In this economy, we don’t need celebrities eating into our jobs.
