Zac Efron And Vanessa Hudgens Engaged
I look at these two and can't help but think that they're SO YOUNG. But then again, being in the showbiz industry, you grow up fast. In their early twenties, they've seen a lot more of the world than some people ever will in a lifetime.
Zac Efron supposedly proposed to Vanessa Hudgens last month while the two were in Japan.
"Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's
mother has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman out
of her daughter."
Have to make the mother in law happy at all costs. :)

So maybe that's part of the reason he just laid down serious cash on a new house and an interior decorator!

Our definition of "so young to get married" certainly has changed over time. I'm 26 (never been married), but my parents were married at 22 and had my sister when they were 27. They have been married for 34 years. I have a number of friends who met their husband in college, and were married in their early to mid twenties (21-23/24). One of my very good friends met her husband while we were in high school. They married at 20, graduated from college, and just celebrated the birth of their first child.
The same goes for children. People have said that Jessica Alba is a young mom. She is 26, 27...That is not so young for the a first child. As women's rights increase each day (cheer:), women are waiting longer to get married and have children (I'm one of them) because that fits with their goals and where they are at in life. But that does not mean that women who find their match and choose to get married earlier are making a mistake. You can still be a successful, "independent" female, while being married and having children. If they are truly in love and are committed to making their relationship work for a lifetime, then there is no reason not to get married.

If it IS true, they're doomed. A proposal should not be made by anyone because they are being pressured by a future in-law (or anyone else). Not a good way to start.
They make a beautiful handsome couple, but they are Wayyyyyy to young to get married. Leave them alone and let them have some relaxed non presure fun with each other.

I got married at 22, my husband was 27, and we are still happily married after years and years. But in Hollywood the average marriage lasts 5 years so even if they got married 10 years down the line they have an equal chance of divorcing.

In Hollywood, it doesn't matter how old you are. All it will take is for one of them to go do a movie to a remote location with another "hottie" and trouble could be in the horizon. I'm not saying they are going to fail, just Hollywood couple do not have good tracking record.
There is no way these two are getting married. She may be "ready" but a guy like this in his early 20's, in Hollywood, famous, star on the rise, etc. etc. would NEVER settle down this early on.
IF it does happen, I give it less than 6 months.

Listen, I have been around a little, and Zac is the gayest thing since Clay Aiken. This isn't about being in love, or being young. Didn't LeeAnn Rimes marry her boyfriend at such a young age? They're still together now. Maturity is the important thing, not age. You can get married at 30 and still not be mature enough for the demands of marriage. On the other hand, some people are already mature enough at 21.
