Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About Her "Weird, Blessed, Interesting Life"

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to know how fortunate she is, but don't make the mistake of assuming her life is perfect.  Gwyneth is the first to admit otherwise.

'I think what stresses me out the most is trying to do so many things at
once
all the time, trying to be a good, present mother, trying to act,
to cook,' Paltrow told [New York Magazine] at the Bent on Learning gala last night. 'I
do a lot at once, and I think that sometimes the idea of trying to do
all of that stresses me out a lot."

Not to mention traffic.  Do you know where she's coming from?

How do you handle stress?  Gwyneth handles it by practicing yoga (not a bad strategy, by the way), and her favorite pose is Baddha Konasana.

'It's the most painful, but then it gets me the furthest,' she explains."

She probably needs yoga to help cope with the strong reaction to GOOP (which, according to Gwyneth, has over 150,000 subscribers).

Listen, I have a really blessed, weird, interesting life, and, you
know, if my observations or the people that I get to meet are helping
my friends, who are calling and saying I want to do this, or I want to
go here, or what should I do, then I thought, well, it might be nice to
share it with other people."

So, for those of you who may read GOOP, do you find it helpful?  You can't fault Gwyneth for trying!

I don't get people criticizing blogs and websites. I mean, if you don't like GOOP, please don't type "goop.com" on your internet browser.

I find it interesting. I love the recipes and tips and where to stay if I ever had the money or time to go anywhere! It is fun to dream!

I didn't even know what good was until today. I find it interesting people hate it so much and i couldn't understand why. It's just a website...

I really like GOOP. The recipes are great and the advice comes from a variety of people. I think it's an insight into someone's life. Instead of criticizing why don't these negative people do something productive, it takes alot more effort.

I admit, I subscribe to GOOP. :) Is it helpful? No, not really. But I find it an entertaining read.

I've had a look at GOOP, and it's not bad. The trolls and haters pick at it because it IS Gwyn's!

She has great recipes and shares a lot of interesting ideas/stuff. You'd have to be comfortably well-off to try most of the restaurants she recommends, but other than that, I really like getting her newsletter and have learned from it.

I love the website. The haters really are just editors trying to sell more more stories.

ok, i'm hoping anonymous @11:13 is like 13 or something..."just die already!!"????? i mean really. i don't see what all the hatred is about so i went to the site for the first time and it's not pretentious or annoying in the least. it's sad that in these times people still have to find someone (usually someone they don't even know) to have so much anger towards...i'll never understand this...maybe it is just a reflection of what they hate about themselves.

Stop with all the moral superior drivel, you only make yourself look like a pretentious fool.

The complaints are just like most of you echoed. It's not for the average person. She has stated that it started because her friends would ask her questions about these things. So, I don't go there because I understand that I'm not in the same league financially as her friends. I don't hate her for the website. I think that she is totally clueless about the world in general. She's never had to work hard for anything in her life. A career and oscar was handed to her with little or no real effort. She's a Hollywood child of privilege. That Oscar for Shakespeare in Love should be at Cate Blanchette's home for her amazing performance in Elizabeth. It's not Gwen's fault the academy awards voters are mindless talentless cogs just like her.
