Jennifer Aniston Won't Use Botox Again

I love the honesty!

Jennifer Aniston has admitted to trying botox in the past, but won't ever use it again because of the "hardness" it can bring to a woman's face.

"I tried Botox once and it was really not good for me. I felt like I had a weight on my head."

"I think it makes women look older. Harder. The warmth in their faces goes away. You see women and you know they’re not young, but you can’t tell how old they are. That’s what stopped me."

So many of our Hollywood favorites tighten up their looks with a little botox. Truth be told, I'm not against it. It's just at 31, I haven't really needed it yet. Talk to me in ten or fifteen years after I've gotten a few rounds and I'll let you know how I really feel then. :)

INO readers, can you weigh in on botox? Have you had it? Do you feel your face hardens a bit after it's done? Is it worth the money?

If you use good moisturizers and take care of your skin, there isn't a need for Botox. Jennifer Aniston is right. It takes away from the warmth and natural character of a woman's face.

I have muscles in my face and lines from smiling and laughing in my forehead that beg to differ. Moisturizing and taking care of your skin will help with some things, but not everything if you're really concerned about. That being said, I'm not really concerned about it.

I LOVE that she is so honest!! :) :) She really is stunning and what she says is so true, the warmth does leave women's faces when they begin to use botox. Natural is SO much better! Aww Love Jennifer Aniston!

It's a bit hypocritical she would say "You see women and you know they’re not young, but you can’t tell how old they are" when that's exactly what she's doing.
If she wanted to look 40, she would go off the orange tan and teenage hairdo!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Teenage hairdo?? WTF? Do some people just make-up crap on the spot or does it take a few hours in front of the computer to come up with pure crap??

I have no objection to using Botox... I may want it down the road. The problem comes when it is used liberally and mixed with crap like fillers.

I have nothing against botox, never used it, hope that I will never use it, it does make a face look kind of dead.
I am not an Aniston fan, so to me she is a bit of a hypocrite(sp?) She claims to be so happy and comfortable with herself, but she has had a lot of surgery. Her nose, yeah right, it was a medical procedure. What about her hairline and the mini lift she had. I just don't like her anymore, I miss more natural, not so polished look.

I do not udersatnd the hairline comment, she has always had a low hairline and I do not see anything different in it.. Can you explain what you mean by it?

I am on the fence about her most recent nose surgery being cosmetic. I can tell from pics from when Friends first started and slightly after that she had her nose done, but do not see any difference in her nose since then. I am not convinved she had more cosmetic nose work done other than the first one. I do think that her first cosmentic surgery led to a second as a medical procedure.

I've had it. Funny thing, it's sometimes given to migraine headache sufferers but instead it gives me one. And, to be honest, I never noticed any kind of change in appearance after trying it. I agree, it does make you feel sort of "heavy".

It's hard getting old, especially for women in Hollywood. Hardly any good roles are offered to those over 40, so no wonder they all turn to plastic surgery or find ways to make themselves look younger.

Im 23 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weigh anywhere between 133-137. Im not skinny and Im not fat. I have curves, have a little wrinkles, have imperfect skin. On top off this Im 13 weeks pregnant. Now when I look at my body I see a journey. Im proud of what my body has gone through and how its changed. I don't see a need to "better" how I look or to change what my body represents. I love my life, how I lived it and I feel like a persons body reflects that. Be proud of how you look and how you organically got there.

Ha ha.... I loved my body and skin at age 23 too.... now at 41, not so much! Check back with us in another 20 years after childbirth and raising kids. Just kidding. ;) Congrats on your pregnancy. It is an amazing thing!

I did try it. After you reach 50, all the moisturizer in the world isn't going to prevent wrinkles, might slow it down and help with the severity. I did try it a few years ago when I was in my late 40's. I didn't really like it either. I only did it the one time. Now I just use a heavy duty mask once a week for about the same results.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

please share? what kind of mask? I'm 40 and I sure need help :-)

Warm some honey, add few drops of fresh lemon juice and the apply on the face, keep to for 20 min and wash,do it every evening, effect is amazing!
You can also put samo calendula flowers in a jar with extra virgin olive oil,let it stay in the jar for like 10 days before start using it and then apply on the face before going to sleep.
some old home remedies:)

I use Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Mask $50. Another good one for more budget friendly is the Queen Helene English Clay Mud Pack Masque. Less than $10. I smear it all over my face and neck. The cheaper one I leave on a little longer than it says to. Sometimes women's magazines will have homemade masks that the spa's use. I have tried some of them, but it can get messy. I am all about convenience.

I am 38 and had Botox done a few times - going every 6 months. No one has noticed - very subtle. It just brightens me and makes me look more awake. I never thought I would do it but I love it now. The Dr. does 1 vial. If I had 2 vials done, I'd look frozen so I am going to stick with the 1 vial. The more you Botox, the less you need it.

Lol... loving the "GOOD moisturizer" remarks and product suggestions. Exactly what makes a moisturizer so GOOD? The special "natural" ingredients? LOL. I'm so glad I read a book recently called "The Beauty Bible." It tells you the real truth about all these wonderful "beauty" products and just how "good" they are for your skin... Wow. I would never glob on some moisturizer again... unless it's sunscreen, of course.=^_^=

I remember watching a talk show(Oprah??) many years ago and a dermatologist was on. He said all you really need is a good sunscreen. You don't have to spend a fortune on all those skincare products.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I'm actually considering Botox for the first time this year. I just turned 30 and all of the sudden over the past two years I see wrinkles. Crow's feet and a valley across my forehead. I've always used moisturizer and I've worn sunscreen since I was about 20. Probably could have done more in the prevention department but I did okay. I just think some skin is more prone to wrinkles. And I think it bothers some people more than others. All I see when I look in the mirror is aged skin and I cannot stand it.

It's a personal choice and I'm actually tired of people who refrain from botox acting like they are superior to people who choose it. You are no better. You just have a different opinion.

I totally agree with Jen on this one...all the people that uses botox looks so waxy, stiff and cold and they have that 'surprise' look on their face - who want to look like that??

I wouldn't try it. Women should be proud of every wrinkle, every crease. We earned them. They show that you're a survivor. I'd be suspect of a person who was unable to move their face. With all the muscles, we're supposed to be able to emote! One day they'll discover how harmful injecting those toxins are - frankly, I'd rather be safe than sorry. Use sunscreen, drink water, get plenty of rest and don't smoke. I'd rather look like Diane Lane than Nicole Kidman any day.losethatgirl blog

Anonymous Anonymous said:

In relation to Nicole, she uses sunscreen constantly and often covers up with a hat, which is very much encourages in Australia....so on the basis of the advice given above, she should have fabulous skin. I wouldn't try botox personally as I have needle phobia, and I can't see the point really, I think women look better when they are natural (and BTW i am turning 40 this year so am just behind jen!)

Jennifer Aniston is either a liar, or was blessed with a really, REALLY unexpressive forehead. I on the other hand, was cursed with a very, very expressive forehead, so I am a regular user of Botox and I love it.

Most people who have botox, you can't even tell they've had it done. That's why these celebrities are always lying about not doing it. Courtney Cox? Puh-lease. Her forehead would like a sharpei puppy's if she wasn't getting shot up regularly. Why she has to lie about it is beyond me. We know she's getting older, so just fess up already or at least don't blatantly lie about it.

Botox doesn't make you look plastic, it's too subtle to have that effect. Having your skin stretched across your face or enormous sacs of silicon stuffed into your chest cavity makes you look plastic.

Anonymous123 Anonymous123 said:

Jen's a liar?? then why do I see wrinkles on her forehead and around her eyes???

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Courtney already admitted of using botox.....why are you calling her a liar??

Anonymous Anonymous said:

lol @ the sharpei puppy comment!!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

There is nothing that could make her even attractive up close. Gagggggg!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Courtney Cox said she didn't like it and doesn't use it anymore. That's why she's a liar. As for Jen having wrinkles, so she's obviously NOT lying.... Botox doesn't take away your wrinkles it just softens them by restricting your face movement.

Marta Marta said:

I absolutely love Botox. Of course, it's not for everybody, on some faces it just looks awful and makes them scary, and you'll also want to try not to overdo (see N. Kidman), but mine is much more beautiful thanks to it. And looks natural.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I'm 29 and I don't know... I'm obsessed with my skin, I know people who have done it and they look ok I guess, they just can't move their foreheads.

Madona looks amazing!!!

I'm considering it-- my boyfriend says he'll leave me if I do it!
I don't know... I so wanna do it ,but at the same time, I'm scared!!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

i'm surprised that Jennifer tried it since she seems to like living healthy. botox is TOXIC!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Okay first, the "right places" use Botox correctly & filter it with another solution so you aren't simply being injected with straight Botox.
And I understand saying to age naturally, and if you take care of your skin it will be fine, etc...but genetics plays volumes in the aging process. I'm 29 and I look pretty young for 29, often still carded anywhere I go, HOWEVER, since I can remember I've had a line inbetween my brow area that has gotten increasingly bigger as I've gotten older. I've hidden it for the past few years with bangs, but decided that I was sick of having to do that just to hide a line on my forehead (and people it is a noticeable line) So I did my research and have gotten a few doses of botox (spread over the recommended months of course) & I absolutely love it. The Doctor did not overdo it in anyway, my forehead feels a little stiff but you get used to it, and I feel liberated. So if you want it, just do the research & go to a good place...it isn't as evil as people on here are writing ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said:

And as a side note...to all you critics of botox out there.
It doesn't make you unable to move your face, if you have it done right, no one knows you've had anything done at all. For me it was just a personal choice, and I only get injections on my forehead and I'm super happy with the results. The people y'all are talking about are the ones who overdo it.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I am 58 and see deep ditches from my nose down through to my chin, or nearly so. I also have little lines above my upper lip, which ages me even more. As for crow's feet and forehead, that's OK with me, but I'd love to see if Botox could help the puffy, overhanging stuff from my eyebrow to my eyes - so I could use eye shadow (subtle of course or someone my age) again. I firmly believe, if you do your homework about drs., be realistic about what can help in the mildest way, and express CLEARLY to the doctor you have no interest in having an unmovable face, I believe you can get some help to fill those crevices and still look subtly better. JMO. Haven't had the cash saved up to try any of this, but feel one procedure could help show me what it might help or hurt me in the looks department. Hey, I'm used to my face and earned every wrinkle, but I wouldn't mind a little help. It wouldn't change me much (I don't think) but maybe just enough to satisfy me more than hoping I look better to anyone else.
