A Portrait By Lucy Liu Will Cost You!

Above and beyond the fact that she's an adorable actress, Lucy Liu has other talents she wants to share with the world. Looks like one of Charlie's Angels is an artist.
Liu, under the pseudonym Yu Ling, painted a large acrylic portrait on
linen of two people kissing. The work is being sold by the Eli Klein
Fine Art Gallery at the Scope art fair here for a whopping $28,000. So
far, no takers, but we're sure it won't last long.
EEK, 28k for a painting by Lucy? That seems a little steep, no? Then again, maybe she's the next Picasso and 28k is a steal. :)
The thing is...will people be buying this because it's great artwork or because it was done by a celebrity? Frustrating for Lucy, but she'll probably never know the real reason.

Wow! I wonder why she's selling it for so much. She probably knows that people will buy the work BECAUSE she's a celeb and that's why the price is so steep....not because she's the next Picasso.

Lucy is so pretty, loved her in the horror movie ' Rise' the vampire hunter. I think that's what it's called, she was good in 'Charlie's Angels too.
I doubt that her painting is worth 28 grand. It'll sell for more bc she's famous and that is the sole reason. If it were so special we'd see a photo of the work. > Off topic, I'm glad to see her being responsible w a large dog & using a choke collar. Owning 4 large dogs, I know how they can easily overpower a person in a second if the restricting action doesn't snap them out of wild behavior.

Can't say I am mad about her art but good for her. Its the unfare way of the world that there are so many good artist out there that don't get seen and these celebrities can do anything they want and sucsseed.
