Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is apparently in worse condition than was originally thought. Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Mariska had to undergo surgery last week; the problem is related to the collapsed lung she suffered in January.
An SVU insider adds that the actress' prognosis is excellent. 'She is doing great,' maintains my mole. 'She will recoup for a few
weeks and be back better than ever.' "
Luckily for you SVU fans, the time Mariska needs to take off will only force her to miss one episode (co-star Ice-T will take her place).

I'm a nurse and this is very confusing. Healthy people don't normally have collapsed lungs unless there is some sort of trauma or serious medical condition! I'm hoping there is nothing serious going on here, but this doesn't sound good!

it's what happens when old women decide to start having babies. it's hard on the body all around. only younger women should have babies.... no older than early to mid 30's.

Anonymous @9:47, You are so silly. I am 37 and had my 6 month old last year in Sept. my 2 yrs old in and my 3 yrs all over the age of 33 and I am thank God, in good health.
