A Look Inside Denise Richards' Dancing Lessons

I would be so NERVOUS on this show! For what it's worth, I think Denise Richards and the rest of the Dancing with the Stars crew are doing a great job! Here is a look inside one of Denise's many dance rehearsals. I'm surprised they aren't doing much to music. Guess you don't need the music to memorize the steps.

i read a few seasons ago that they do not always know the song they are going to perform until they are actually performing. something about getting licensing for the music.
so i think that's why they don't practice with the music...they'll us the music as cues rather than just memorizing the steps.

With any kind of choreographed dancing, you have to learn the steps and counts first before putting it to music. Once you've got the idea of that part, you can then start using the music. I've been doing all kinds of dancing (well, except ballroom) my whole life, and that's just the way you have to do it. I mean, it's not like jumping out on the dance floor at a club and shaking your butt any which way....
