I am so EXCITED about this news because I LOVE these movies. Matt Damon has confirmed producers are pushing forward with a 4th instattment to the Bourne franchise.

This time the movie will not be based on one of Robert Ludlum’s books. Instead Matt and director Paul Greengrass will be writing their own story!
"We’re working on it. This time it would be from an original script rather than a book by Robert Ludlum, but the director Paul Greengrass is busy and I am too, so we’ll see what happens.
"When I did the first movie I was 29 years old. I am 37 now. After a tough fighting scene, the next day you wake up and feel your body more. That’s just the way it is."

Talk about milking it. A 4th Bourne movie, what for? Everything has been told, there’s no suspense left.
I LOVE the Bourne movies, but they already bear little resemblance to the Ludlum books, so how would the 4th movie be unique in being an original script? The only one of the three movies that even take place in the same part of the world and have some of the same storyline is the first one. The other two are not even CLOSE to the books.
I love, Love, LOVE these movies. Lol .. its one of the few that hubby and I actually watch together! Interesting about the rewrite in that there are FIVE books in the series. And now, its sounds like this new version is demarcating from the originals. Hhhmm .. well, just gonna have to wait and see. As to Matt being 37 now .. he is still in good shape. His latest bike race shows that.
