This is nice to hear!Candy Spelling and Tori Spelling were scheduled to have books released on the same day, pitting them head-to-head.Candy decided to avoid this showdown by moving up the publication of her book, Stories from Candyland, to March 30 (instead of April 14).
‘Tori is my daughter, and I love her,’ Candy tells Usmagazine.com. ‘I wish her all the best with the publication of her new book.’ “
Tori’s rep denied that her book, Mommywood, was sheduled for April 14 to compete with her mother’s book. The publisher reportedly chose April 14 so the book would be in stores in time for Mother’s Day.
However, although Candy moved her publication date to avoid a showdown with Tori, she said she will not read Tori’s book.
‘I never read her first one because my friends and family advised me
against it,’ Candy says. ‘They said it would hurt my feelings, so I
decided to pass. I won’t read her new one either.’ “
It sounds like these two haven’t patched things up.Maybe this is a first step towards that.

Tori’s mom has always been jealous of her because Aaron Spelling gave Tori so much attention. Candy was kind of cold toward Tori as a result. Then when Aaron was dying Tori felt that Candy all but abandoned him and started dating one of Aaron’s friends. Candy allegedly made Aaron vastly reduce the amount of Tori’s inheritance. Also Candy didn’t/doesn’t like Dean, Tori’s husband, nor did she like the way Tori dumped her first husband to be with Dean.
