Not All Celebs Are Into Twitter

Twitter is a CRAZE and right now the boom is big amongst celebs. It gives them a chance to respond directly to their audience and clear the air before rumors get too out of control. But, not everyone is feeling it.

When asked about Twitter, Paul Rudd responded,

"I’m afraid of the Internet. I’m too old to tweet. So I don’t tweet, I tw-t."

Rashida Jones added,

"I don’t need to invite stalkers into my life. I just don’t really see the point."

What are your thoughts on Twitter? I’ll admit, I really didn’t see the point until I started using it. But now I’m HOOKED!

on one hand it’s kinda cool, if you’re just seeing what they’re up to or whatever..but on the other hand..i looked at some of the people replying to celebrities and they will reply creepy things non stop until they get a response from that celebrity..it really does invite weirdos

  2. Mr. Bones says:

If I decide to twitter, I sure as heck don’t want anyone watching!

  3. exposition says:

I cannot stand Twitter! Creepy waste of time and space.

How much is Twitter paying you? You post about Twitter everyday.

  5. we LOVE twitter!!!

Twitter is so lame and for someone with kids and a husband can’t you find better things to do then stalk ‘celebrities’ on Twitter? How juvenile.

  7. CapturingLife says:

It kills me that certain celebs claim they want privacy but yet will Twitter about every little random moment of their day. I think it’s overload.

  8. Monica says:

Twitter is ridiculous. I checked it out a few times to see what it’s all about and I just think it’s silly. People don’t need to know (nor do they care to know) what you’re doing every second of your life. “Oh, I’m going to make a ham sandwich. It was good. Now I’m gonna watch TV. I am watching The Simpsons. I think I’ll go for a nap now, then get a haircut afterwards.” It’s almost insane — keep a journal instead, you tweeters! I find it very self-centred.

Um her job is to get the scoop on celebrities!

I don’t see the point in Twitter either. Facebook and My Space are also useless and a waste of time. I must be the only person left on the planet who doesn’t have an account.

Trust me, you’re not. I have better things to do like interact with actual people in real life. Maybe when I’m old and stuck at home I’ll sign up.

And yes I know I’m posting on this site (lol) but to me this is just a small bit of entertainment…I’m not connected to the Internet 24/7. And I don’t share personal info online. People don’t realize that once you put info about your whole life out there it NEVER goes away. I’m glad they didn’t have all these sites when I was in HS and college, who knows what I would have posted? I would be sooooo embarrassed now. lol

  13. Amy says:

I don’t follow twitter. For one I don’t want people to know what I am doing all the time. Constantly twittering away would get in the way of life. I would never follow anyone either. I would find it extremely boring. Unless I was a mom checking up on her teenage kids. I honestly don’t see the appeal. I thought it was maybe an age thing and I asked my 30 something daughters if they did and they both said h*ll no. So there you go.

    I think twitter is stupid!

I don’t have a twitter account either and I would never follow anyone who considers themselves a real celeb on twitter. Like Rashida Jones said, why would any real celeb want to twitter anyway, it just invites people to invade their privacy even more. Only media fame whores twitter cause they can’t get attention any other way or have nothing better to do with their time.

I am not a twitter user, but loads of people in my area say it is so addicting! I;ll stick to INO!

TWITTER! The most annoying and overused word I have ever experienced. Vera, why does everyone need to know when your going ot the grocery store, when your taking a nap, etc. You have two children, think of the things you could accomplish for yourself and your family if you spent that wasted time on something real.

    Paul is just tooo cute!

  19. Lose That Girl says:

I second the Paul love! I quite like Facebook but Twitter just seems like information overload. I don’t care if someone is sat watching TV or eating. losethatgirl blog
