DJ AM Suing Learjet For $20 Million From Crash

Learjet better hire a few more accountants for the upcoming months because DJ AM is looking to take $20 million of their money. That's exactly what Adam Goldstein is seeking to cover "medical expenses, lost earnings, profits and economic damages" as well as "mental and physical pain" based on the accident he lived through alongside Travis Barker.

Goldstein is seeking $10 million for medical expenses, lost earnings, profits and economic damages and another $10 million related to non-economic losses, such as mental and physical pain, according to a document filed Friday.
A jury will decide any damage award if the case goes to trial.

A lawyer for Learjet refused to comment.

What do you think about the amount? Do you think a jury will grant Adam's request?

Most of time I think these lawsuits are stupid, you take the risk in life no matter what you do, but.. if they found that there was a complete negligence on the part of the airline, I do believe he is intitled to compensation. That accident was horrific to witness. I think I need some mula to get past the devestation of reading about it over and over. ;) No doubt he was injured and they should pay for those expenses, but gees, when something bad happens do we all always have to get paid? Really?

I understand why he is doing this, but the details should be kept private. This isn't Dancing with the Stars... people died. It's gross to sensationalize this.

I'm not too familiar with the way things go: when there is a plane crash with "everyday people", are they financially compensated?

The only thing that really struck me about this situation was the family of Travis' friend (Chris Baker) sued the estate of the pilot. Ya know, his family lost a husband, father, etc too...why go after that poor family's money??

I see where you're coming from, but if the crash was due to pilot error, you bet they should sue. I am sure they included the jet company in the law suit, so the pay out, if there is one, won't come out of the dead pilot's family's pocket...it's not deep enough.

Dead pilot's family... tact???

What's your point?? Yeah, the family of the dead family. It is what it is.

Soory, I meant the family of the dead PILOT...

It is very obvious that DJ doesn't give a sh*t about anyone but himself. His attitude probably disgusted Mandy Moore which is why the reconcile didn't work. I do not think he is entitled to that much money. It is obscene to me. Maybe if he was left burned beyond recognization and was facing life in a wheelchair, drinking thru a straw I might see the justification to some form of compensation, but that is not the case.

Im with Masons Mommy. They would never even entertain such a lawsuit from a "normal" person but a semi-star thinks they can get this much money. As for suing the pilot that seems excessive even if he was responsible - the man lost his life which I think is worth a little bit more then a few mil.

What a greedy little shit. You think that you would be grateful to have survived and would use this negative experience to change your life for the better. The real victims are those who didn't survive, he ought to be ashamed of himself. God reserves a special place in hell for fat fucks like him.

of course, he gets so much money.
He is also Jew.

how greedy could he possibly be? That's disgusting. I agree that they should pay for his medical bill and pain and suffering....but $20 million? c'mon that's ridiculous.

Money goes to money, sadly, its always that way. He seems fine to me...Its not like his hands are burned or his voice is lost & he cant DJ anymore...Medical bills, I understand, but anything beyond that seems a little greedy to me. Suing for that many millions seems a bit much. Is it possible that he isnt so greedy & maybe he has an attorney who wants a big payday & is pushing for him to sue for this much???

Anonymous Anonymous said:

..and he doesn;t have enough of a brain to tell the attorney to pi$$ off...
