OC Housewife Gretchen Rossi Dating Slade Smiley?!
If you don't watch Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County, then that title (and the names Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley) will mean nothing to you, but if you do, then... WHAT?!?!
I don't have the rights to the photos, but TMZ does, and they look like a whole lot more than friends to me! (Or are my eyes lying to me?)
For those of you who are still scratching your heads, Gretchen was new to the OC show last fall, and she was engaged to a man who was dying of leukemia. He died last September.
Slade is the ex-boyfriend of a former OC housewife/girlfriend, Jo De La Rosa, who left the show when she moved to LA to pursue a singing career.
It's understandable that Gretchen's dating again, but SLADE!!!

wow...believe it or not, i used to like her, especially cuz i saw how she was into taking care of her fiance..but after that whole thing with the other oc's housewife son (forgot their names right now)...i didnt believe her as much anymore. that was so disrespectful! so it doesnt surprise me she's doing this now.
What? That she turned him down while she was DRUNK? I think that takes a whole lot of effort. The incident with Ryan would seem to only strengthen your respect for Gretchen. He was coming on to her, and she stood her ground.

i think they make a really hot couple. have to say she was my favorite by the end of last season. hope all this is going to be part of the show!!! they could even bring jo in as the jealous ex...wonder if she is?

I've watched all the Housewives Seasons & I don't see anything wrong w/Gretchen dating Slade. Gretchen obviously likes older men, & it's terrible that her fiance passed away recently, but she's in her 30s & too young to be like a 'widow', spending her precious days crying & being depressed. She's a beautiful, young lady, w/an extroverted personality.... quite similar to Jo, who was dating Slade & so it seems to be Slade's type (except for the hair color : ) They are two great looking people, & I wish the best for them. Slade had a difficult time dating Jo, b/c I don't think she appreciated him & he put his all into his relationship w/Jo, but she had to "go off to be young & not tied down," so good for Slade & Gretchen! I'm sorry, but I think that people commenting about Gretchen being a 'gold-digger,' I'm willing to guess, are struggling financially themselves & may be projecting their financial insecurities onto her, even though Gretchen has worked & earned her own college degree. Why is she a 'gold digger' if she's interested in Slade? As though Slade has bundles of money!?! He pays child-support & does not have an endless bank role! Ya'll have my blessing & have lots of yummy S*X!! Ya'll deserve it!! : )
There are LOTS of creepy guys in the "OC", not just Slade! LOL! Rumor has it she is with him so she is GUARANTEED "Face time" on the "Real Housewives of the OC" next season!

I liked Gretchen the whole season up until the bitter end - I really supported her until things like this were coming out. I think she and Slade really have an agenda for the next season or something... Did you see his dating show? Who would want to date a guy like that - he is kinda weird if you ask me... just sayin!
I bought a dress that looks almost identical to this at JC Penney's for $40 in the juniors department. Big difference from $480!

This appears to be a match made in heaven. Slade supposedly has money (Whether that is true or not, I have no idea) and likes to lavish gifts on his women. Gretchen admittedly loves money and material things, and likes to have gifts lavished upon her. What could be better? Slade funded Jo's lifestyle when they were together, and it didn't appear to bother him. Evidently, Jo just decided that she wanted to work. She did not have to work.
Now that Gretchen has lost her boyfriend who was supporting her, if she and Slade are an item, she most likely will not have to worry about trying to earn a living. It is a win-win situation for both of them. Also, this will probably guarantee that they stay in the spotlight, which they both appear to love.
They are both free to date. I don't see a problem with it.
I really like Gretchen, she took great care of her fiance in his time of need. I think she derserves to be happy and I think Slade is a good guy. I wish them both nothing but the very best!

Good for them! I don't care much for Slade, personally, but I only know what the producer's have chosen to show us. I love the fact that he caught onto David Weintraub (real life scumbag also in Sober House) and kicked him out of "Date My Ex". Yay Slade!
And I think Gretchen is amazing! She's beautiful, strong, supportive and I've never seen anyone look so good in an itty-bitty bikini as she does. What Tamra did to Gretchen at the house party (getting her "naked drunk" and trying to get her own son to seduce Gretchen) was DISGUSTING!!!
Gretchen handled it SO well! Anyone would have trouble resisting the attention when they are intoxicated. That is the reason for asking in the Lord's Prayer, "lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil". Tamra was the snake, seducing Eve, in my opinion and Gretchen resisted. Yay Gretchen!
The only housewives I can stand on any of the shows now are Jeanna, Gretchen, Bethany (NY), and Jill Zarin (NY). All the rest of them are just weird, insecure, petty, arrogant, and judgmental. I even lost my love for Vicki from this past season.

I guess she's not sitting home grieving over Jeff, rumor has it she got over $2 mil. after he died ... I lost all respect for her. She has no job and didn't need one since she scammed Jeff ... now she is yet another no talent scam whore looking for her next million dollar daddy. At least some of the other housewives have jobs and real companies.
