The Mother Of Tyson Beckford's Son Says She Has Hope For Their Future

April Roomer, a reality TV stylist who is now appearing on the show Candy Girls, has opened up to In Touch Magazine about her relationship with Tyson Beckford which resulted in their 10 year old son.

She says the timing has never been right, but he is still a great dad. April even has hope that in the future perhaps they will get together once again.

I've never talked about Tyson… (He’s just) daddy, that's Tyson, not supermodel Tyson."

"We were on and off for years after Jordan was born. Being on different coasts and so busy with our careers, the timing wasn't right… Maybe later, down the line, we'll get it together and figure it out.
"Tyson's been very supportive of my career. We're still friends and good parents, which is most important."

While this is news to me, the model has never denied having a child. In fact, he openly talks about his love for Jordan during interviews including one with Oprah Winfrey after his terrible car accident.

the only way she will get him to settle down for a relationship will be for the reason of the boy. if he wanted her, he would change his life to make things happen ; OR HE'S JUST NOT READY FOR THE REAL DADDY DUTIES. I don't think Tyson lacks as a father, I have heard him speak, favorably of his son. This poor girl thinks, in the future, that something is going to give. If he ain't trying now, don't expect too much later.

He is so hot, I just watch the show to see him.
Not my favorite group of models this time, the first season was the best so far!

Tyson is a terrible father. What kind of father, especially one of his status who has all the money in the f/n world, sits there and watches his son cry because he's leaving AGAIN?!

He's a poor excuse for a father, and, in turn, that makes him a poor excuse for a human being.

I don't doubt that its hard living that far away from your child. And I have no reason to believe he doesn't love his son. However, there is no way I could just walk away from my child balling like that and leave mommy to clean up the mess. He walks out smiling and waving to whomever else is in the restaurant. He should have told his ride to wait or find another one, and stick around long enough to console his son. PERIOD!
