Fans will be happy to hear the actress has recorded a new album, The Real Thing, and it’s due to release on June 2nd. Thanks to Concord Records, we will soon have a variety of new music that touches on jazz, samba, salsa, pop and R&B.
Vanessa says the inspiration comes a past role where she played a ballroom dancer.
“I had been wanting to do a Latin-flavored album since I played a ballroom dancer in the (salsa) movie Dance With Me.”
Can’t wait to hear it!
And don’t worry Ugly Betty viewers, Vanessa isn’t going anywhere. She is managing both careers with ease.

Vanessa should do more dancing; that movie was fantastic! Chayanne and Vanessa made it steamy with their dancing…would love to see them on screen again.
I can’t wait to hear the album (disc). I’m sure it will be classy, beautiful and way worth buying a couple of copies (one for the house, another for the car)!
