Keira Knightley Rents Shoes
By rent...does Keira Knightley mean that the designers loan them to her and she gives them back? Or does she really mean that she pays to wear them for a day? She says she used to be a shoe-a-holic, but the bad economy is forcing her to cut back on the shopping sprees.

Renting shoes is a pretty genius idea. I mean, most women dream of a pair of those red soled Louboutin beauties in their closet...but how many of us can actually afford them?!?
give me a break. bitch made a fortune from those stupid pirate movies. she doesn't have to "rent" shoes. the idea is sickening. who wants to wear shoes that others stinky feet have been in?

I really wish these rich stars would quit sounding like they are having it hard by the economy. They don't have a clue what they are talking about. I would never even rent bowling shoes. I would bring my own.

you know, i really doubt that her comment has anything to do with the economy of the us. she's primarily based out of england so she obviously spends most of her money there. and when you're a celeb, you don't really have any need for all of those glamourous looking shoes, so why not rent them? plus, just because you have been in some of the highest grossing films of all time doesn't mean that you have to spend you money left and right. maybe she's learned to be wise with her money...
I am sure her comment had NOTHING to do with the economy. You should not insinuate shit like that Vera, very negligent to just throw something random in there like that. She is not the type of girl to dress up on the regular she is quite laid back so I am sure she sees no need to purchase a boat load of shoes she hardly ever wears since she did that once.

Obviously it has nothing to do with the economy nowadays, but I LOVE the idea. About the "stinky" feet comment, is not different than wearing a vintage/2nd hand dress.
it's completely different. they could have foot fungus or athlete's foot or something wretched like that. a vintage dress can be easily dry cleaned or washed.

It might be a good thing for a girl who has money to spend on renting a pair of shoes for a day but I'd rather take that money and BUY a pair of shoes instead. They won't be Jimmy Choos but at least they're mine.

Celebs usually wear clothing once, same for certain shoes, so I guess this is her reason. It has nothing to do with the economy, her quote doesn't mention anything about the economy and her cutting back because of it.
Well, and they "rent" brand new shoes, which, most probably, are sold after to a person that has no clue they were worn. I'm sure the sole still looks new after the red carpet :)

Celebs have so much "stuff" & its not necessary...Even if you can afford it why continue to accumulate so much crap? Plus, they have to match the shoes to the outfit for red carpet events & stuff, why would anyone need that many shoes? They dont, so it sounds like a good idea to me.
It sounds like a good idea, I just wear running shoes though, but I guess it I might use it for a special occasion some time, as long I can find nice shoes that don't hurt.
Men rent shoes all the time when renting tuxedos. Why is that any different?

Not saying that I don't see the sense in it, because I do. Just conscious like everyone else of whether this is a hugienic practice, but then again, I ama sure these shoess are cleaned between users. Right?
