Jaime Pressly Thanks Friend For Ending Her Eating Disorder

When Jaime Pressly started out as a young model, she was desperate to keep down her weight. Unfortunately, she turned to bulimia - a disease that affects more young women than we care to admit.
Today, having gotten past the eating disorder, Jaime recounts the moment when she realized what she was doing was wrong. It was all because of a good friend.
Here she is recounting that day in her new memoir It’s Not Necessarily Not The Truth.
"Dawn was going into my bedroom to grab something and she walked past the bathroom and heard me, and (she) went and got her boyfriend and her boyfriend busted the door down and said, ‘You will not, absolutely not, do this.’"
Pressly reveals the "fear in their eyes" made her realize she had gone too far in her bid for modeling perfection.
Thank goodness for all the Dawns in our lives.

I thought I read in Shape Magazine or something that she was bulimic for only a couple of days or something weird like that...
you spelt her name wrong in the title
The least you could do was spell her name right. How lazy can one person be. Get it together, its your JOB to know the CORRECT names of the people you post on. Stupid shit like this always happens on this site. You should be more careful.

Cut her a little slack! How would you like to be publically humiliated for making a mistake? I suppose you never make mistakes at your JOB?
Um when its your JOB to report about crap like this the least you can do is get the names right!!! And before I go to print anything I do at work YES I do check it for mistakes as Vera should.
I have to agree, especially when this is your career.
Wow, some people on here really need to RELAX and lighten up. If a spelling mistake causes you such tremendous stress, maybe you should take some responsibility and not visit websites that trigger your anger. Very professional language used to voice your opinion I might add.
Um, yeah, maybe she doesn't know that she never really had bulemia. If you can "stop" because someone breaks down your door and tells you to, you probably just experimented and threw up a few times. Bulemia is a disease that many people and their families live with for YEARS! If you read the statistics, it is very frightening. Most (if not all) people who suffer from this disease never totally stop. My sister has been bulemic for over twenty years and no amount of counseling, begging or praying has made her stop. It truly is a disease and these stupid celebrities talking about it like it was so easy to stop is ridiculuous!
I completely agree! Bulimia is a very serious disease. My sister has been battling bulimia for years. I walked in on her after a Christmas dinner and was shocked. Turns out she had been bulimic for years and I had never known. Bulimia, unfortunately, can be hidden for years.
Saying you were suddenly cured because you were caught is not accurate. Most bulimics can't stop just because someone caught them.

Not everyone fits into your cookie cutter description of a person suffering from an eating disorder... or drug addiction... or whatever else. Individuals experience everything differently. Maybe that's something that made her snap out of it and realize that she had to stop or else she would end up in an insitution - which is a place most people do not want to end up in. =^_^=
