Lipstick Jungle Is Cancelled
E!'s Party Girl got the word from the star, Brooke Shields, herself that NBC has finally made a decision: Lipstick Jungle is cancelled.
'It was going to stay and we just were officially told it's finally not
coming back,' she said at the Latisse launch party last night. 'It's
very sad. I think a lot of people were really sad, but I think we hung
on a really long time. It was three great years that we've been working
on it.' "
I knew it wasn't looking good when Lindsay Price was cast in a new pilot, but since her new role was in "second position" to her role on Lipstick Jungle (meaning Lindsay couldn't be in the new show if Lipstick Jungle was renewed), there was still some hope.
Well, despite low ratings, the show did get three years. Join me in mourning in the comments :(

O NO . . Im SO sad it's gone forever. The "buzz" of it staying around in some form had died down lately but I LOVED the ladies and the whole cast. VERY upset it's over . . . :(

I really loved this show. Season two picked up a lot of steam and the storylines were more juicy and interesting than in season one. What a shame! Just when it got good, NBC cancels it. losethatgirl blog

I don't know why people are so shocked that it was cancelled. The ratings were so low for NBC and they barely filmed half a season. That made it obvious that it wasn't returning. Perhaps it wasn't made official until now in the hopes another network would pick it up but something like that usually leaks. I did like the show. It started slow but really picked up with each season. It's a shame that it was on NBC since it's the least watched major network.
First of all NBC is just STUPID with so many of its shows . . . it IS the lowest rated network after all . . . and how do you expect to keep an audience when the show you love gets time and day of the week changes constantly! NBC you really know how to ruin a good thing!
I hated the show and I'm not surprised it got cancelled. The first season was good, but the second turned out to be so stupid. It's no surprise that it got the axe.
It started off ok-but I dont know I think they needed to spice it up with a more interesting character to get younger viewers. Maybe Megan Fox should have played a character. It wasnt as sexy as they hyped it up to be-sure the Kim Raver/young guy affair was hot-but that was it. The millionaire and the designer YAWN! And Brooke Shields is hot, but really married people having sex? No one really thinks its thats steamy...

How dare NBC cancel Lipstick Jungle. They kept ER on six years after it totally sucked. They haven't had a better drama since the Clooney years of ER. They never had any show as sexy. Shame on them.
