Matthew Perry Wants To Get Lost

Matthew Perry has admitted his DREAM job would be a permanent role on Lost. Join the club! :) Unfortunately for Matt, he realizes that it’s almost an impossibility due to his past. No, I’m not talking about a criminal record… I’m talking about Friends.

"I want to be on that show so bad, but people would be like, ‘What’s Chandler doing on the island?’ So it isn’t going to happen. But I am truly addicted to the show. I even follow the story lines online."

Awww! I feel bad for the guy. It’s true – Matthew will always be Chandler to many (ok – to everyone).

Well, there are places called “stores” and things called “DVD’s” and clubs called “Netflix” where you do this thing called “rent” or perhaps “buy” and then you “watch” these things called “past seasons” to engage in a practice called “catching up”. I know all of this must sound so strange and foreign to you.

    Hahahahahhahahhahahaha. That was funny!

Why are you being so nasty? Of course I know that’s an option. DId it ever occur to you that I don;t want to waste my money on that. I’d like to jump into the show but not at that expense. Geez! simmer down, or better yet, STFU.

If a person wanted to watch a show then logically they would want to know what was happening the past FIVE seasons of that said show. I would hate to be sitting next to you watching the current season of Lost, “So, what hatch are they talking about?” “They left the island??” “What Asian couple??” “Who is that?” “Why did that just happen?” “Do they know each other?” Just rent the damn series! “A missing baby??!” Why would you NOT want to watch the other seasons, that is the real question. In case you were not aware of how shows work, but they are progressive, things keep happening, they keep rolling, they move forward, they have a history, a backstory, etc, etc… And they do have libraries is some towns and cities and localities that happen to have DVD’s! Or so I heard. Imagine that! And that will not cost you any money. You know, “Money” a form of currency used to buy items. And you will get a neat little library card with your name on it. It will be shiny and all yours.

Anon – to answer your question, yes Lost is totally worth catching up on. It is addictive, and although it can feel like they’re just piling on more and more questions…they do get around to answers. It’s one of the best shows ever, especially if you enjoy suspense. I think the writers of the show are amazing.

LOL – OR! They can go to ABC.com and watch them from the comfort of their own favorite computer chair!

Oh and Chandler! Dur…that’s the real reason I came on here..and then I got sidetracked by the other crap, lol.
It would be weird to see him on Lost but I bet he can act. I swear I’ve seen him act like an ass or a mean character in some movie…they could bring him on the show, have him be un-funny and kill him off ;)

“Chandler” showing up on ‘Lost’ would be hilarious — but then, I’m no longer a big ‘Lost’ fan so a little levity in my mind would do the show some good. losethatgirl blog

Lost is hands-down, the best show on TV. That would be funny to see a cameo spot with Chandler…

That IS a bummer to have your successful past hinder your future.

If he could act well enough to play anyone besides Chandler, he might have a shot. The problem is the actor, not the past.

I used to be severely addicted to Lost. Now…… I’m just fed up… too many unsolved mysteries.

I would LOVE to see Chandler on Lost!! Haha.. He’s right though :P He’ll always be Chandler :)

I was going to say the same thing! It would be great. Although a “permanent” job would only be one more short season. Not much permanence in that. And for the record, LOST is my one & only show & I have been a fan since Day One. The questions always get answered eventually and the questions are more fun than the answers anyway.

I think of him as Matthew Albie from Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Chandler but most recently as Matt Albie. He was fantastic on that show and helped me to shed my ONLY Chandler stance on him. :)

I have never watched Lost and would love to jump into it, but I hear that it’s impossible to do that at this point, I’d be “lost”. Is that true?

Definitely watch the past seasons first and get caught up b4 next season – it’s worth it!
