No.State of Play star Rachel McAdams wants to make that perfectly clear.Just because she likes to keep a low profile and isn’t doing back-to-back movies doesn’t make her a reluctant star, actress, or anything else.So how did Rachel respond to Access Hollywood when they asked about the rumor?
‘That’s sort of annoying, isn’t it?‘ Rachel told AccessHollywood’com’s ‘Dish of Salt’ Laura Saltman over the weekend. ‘I try to pace myself… I try to take it easy.’
‘You just need a break sometimes afterwards.
And then timing is such sometimes that, you know, everything comes out
at once and then there’s nothing,’ Rachel noted. ‘And there you are and
people wonder where you’ve been.’ "
In addition to starring alongside Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck in State of Play, Rachel has been in Mean Girls, Wedding Crashers, and The Notebook.Sounds like she enjoys acting to me

She has a good point – as an actor in a movie, you’ve got no control over when it comes out. It can be several years on the long side. We’ve had a few movies be filmed in the general area and I always find it amusing when I hear about it being filmed and then totally forget about it, months later, I see a trailer for it. (And even then – the trailers usually come out a few months before the movie releases!) But, there’s lots of work and time to go into making the footage a movie.
