I agree with Katgib13 – I’d feel uncomfortable if I was there alone and as a celebrity he has no idea who is acting real or fake around him….
He does seem shy – I think as his career gets going and he gets away from Twilight, he’ll be a lot like Leonardo Dicaprio – shying away from “fame” and focusing on his talent. Yes, I think Robert is talented both as an actor and musician. and No, i’m not a Twi-teen.

If I were 22 and got invitations to all kinds of nice/cool parties, I’d go too. So he goes out? Don’t see what the big deal there is, really. Apparently, he shows up for work when he’s supposed to, so there’s nothing wrong with kicking it back in the meantime. What’s the guy supposed to do? Sit in his hotel room and count the cracks in the wall?

Just because you see Rob texting in this picture, does not mean he was texting the whole entire party. And even if he was, who cares? I would text the whole time during a party if I didn’t want to be there.
You know what, I say he can do whatever he feels like. Keep in mind he’s still pretty young. He’s always in the public eye but could you image if everywhere you went people and people wanted to take pictures of you and with you…it would kinda get annoying don’t ya think? I’m sure he wasn’t rude about it. But cut the guy some freaking slack.
So, all of you should either A. go to GQ.com and read the interview or BUY GQ and you will understand why he’s like that.

OH MY GOD! Nooo, don’t be at ANY bar at Richards & Richards! SO NOT the safest place in Vancouver. Countless bars in that part of town have people being shot at and stabbed in fights inside and outside clubs. Alot of gangs frequent bars on that street.. why would he be there? Ick!
No one really knows what went on unless you were their but for the most part it’s not L.A. He was probably able to have a drink and not be approached, harassed or photographed. wonder why people would think he isn’t approachable.
First think about it, have it occured to any of you that maybe the people at the party didn’t want to associate with him. Yoo don’ see any of them turning to conversate with him so why should he try to spark conversation. Robert is great!!!!!!!!!
I remember being far from home for work. Back in the day I would have given a lot to be able to get in touch with anyone from back home during my downtime.
Maybe he was homesick for a moment, or saw something he wanted to tell someone about.

it must be tough missing England so much. its pretty different over there. all his family is there and friends. he is likely just overwhelmed with the attention. he is hounded everywhere all the time. people ALWAYS wanting something. a picture a signature a hug whatever. every time he isnt holed up on set or in his hotel room.
its really only his business why he does or does not go out. no one on the planet is at this level of scrutiny. twilight has brought “fame” to an entirely new and unknown level. the movie brought such a young unknown cast to WORLD WIDE attention in such a short space it cannot be something you train for.

Read the verifiable things that are published in well known sources if you want to halfway believe something. Half of the articles on these type of website are taken from other websites because they cannot get near the person to get a real interview so they take from other sources, that are probably not well informed.
