Trista And Ryan Sutter Welcome A Baby Girl

Trista and Ryan Sutter are happy to announce the birth of their baby daughter, Blakesley Grace Sutter. I have never heard of the name Blakesley before - what do you think about it? Fits right into the celebrity world right?
Trista told Life and Style Magazine that everyone is doing wonderfully.
"She's healthy. Everything is really good," an exhausted Trista tells Life & Style exclusively.
This is Trista's second child with Ryan. They welcomed Maxwell Alston in 2007.
Congrats!

Update: I just found out that Trista chose dearjohnnies' hospital gowns for her stay. So many cute designs to choose from, but this reality star went with the Lucy.

Blakesley? Seriously? Fail!

Agreed.
I guess "Blake" was not good enough.
Why give a kid a name that is going to be a problem with friends or in school? I can imagine teachers asking this child repeatedly if her name is spelled correctly, because it's close to a normal name, but it went off track somewhere.

This is old surname in the town I live in. We have a few landmarks named Blakesley. I can't wrap my head around it being a first name because of this, but I suppose it's better than some other choices...
It's possible that Blakesley is a Family name from Trista's side. I see "nothing" wrong with it. Sure beats...Apple, Coco, Hazle and Thaddeus in my opinion.

I have heard worse. But if it is a family name I might have made Grace the first name and Blakesley the middle. I know my daughter is getting grief from some of the family over the name she has chosen for her daughter that is due in 2 weeks.
I agree with Amy ^. I LOVE the name "Grace". In fact, if I had a daughter, I would name her "Grace". That first name is just TERRIBLE!
She may be intending to call her daughter by her middle name. If I have a daughter, her first name will be my maiden name (which in defense, is a first name in France, Canada...), but will be addressed by her middle name.
We all have our own style, THANK GOD

that is really awkward to say...but whatev...congrats to them.
This is so STUPID & MADE UP. Couldn't they have come up with anything a little less home-grown?
This screams: "we're trying WAY too hard to be relevant in the celebrity world".
Poor little baby with such narcissisctic parents.
I feel like if they wanted to name her that then let them. It is her baby and not yours. Name your baby what you want. She will probably end up going by Blake. But it's nice to have a real name that's longer. That's how my name is. Blakesley is a beautiful original name that probably has meaning to them. It says nothing about their parenting style. They are great parents.
congrats!
My cousin, who is 33, is named Blakesley. It's a family name (first name) that has been around for GENERATIONS. It's a wonderful name and NOT anything like the pretentious names celebrities give their children.

I'm really happy for the happy family. However, they are not celebrities, they are a reality tv couple that's it. And the name is awful, I hope Blakesley uses her middle name.
I read gossip websites to make my life more interesting!

Congrats! The name is a real tongue twister though. It sounds like I'm spitting when I say it!!!!!!!

aw im so happy for them! their family is adorable.
Congrats to the happy family but I have to agree that it is a hard name to say. This poor little girl will have a terrible time at pre school , she probably won't be able to say her own name and I doubt her classmates will be able to either. Hopefully she will be called Grace .
Yep . . just FLOWs off your tongue like "sufferin' succotash" . .
ROTFLMAO!!! That's exactly what it sounds like!
I wanted a name that wasn't worn out when I named my daughter. I called her Leanndra which she can chose to shorten later but I choose not to. It was hard for her at first in school but isn't an issue. Even if they shorten their baby's name to Blake that sounds like a boy name to me. To each their own though!!!
