Trista Sutter Discusses Family Planning

Former Bachelorette (and Bachelor contestant) Trista Sutter is happy with her family as it is, now that Blakesley Grace has joined the family, which also includes Blakesley’s older brother, Max.

‘Now that we have the two healthy children we always dreamed of, Ryan
and I have decided that our family is the perfect size, and we want to
devote our time and energy to them,’ says Sutter, who has suffered
birth complications, including gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.”

So Trista will undergo a permanent birth control procedure called Essure.

Essure is a minimally-invasive procedure performed in a doctor’s office in about 10 minutes, the rep explains to Us.
Small, flexible micro-inserts are placed within a woman’s fallopian
tubes through the cervix without incisions. Over the next three months,
the body forms a natural barrier around the micro-inserts to prevent
sperm from reaching the egg. The procedure — which 250,000 women have
undergone — is 99.8 percent effective.

Adds Sutter: ‘After looking at all my options I realized that Essure is
the best fit for me and my lifestyle. I like it because the procedure
can be performed in my doctor’s office without general anesthesia, and
the quick recovery means I can get back to my life and my family right
away.’”

I completely understand Trista’s decision, and hey, only she can make it, but I wonder why she decided to speak out about it publicly. Maybe to let other women know about various permanent birth control options?

I’d never heard about it before reading this. Have you?

I actually saw the procedure done on TV on the doctors show and it is literally 10 minutes to do and yeah she may be a spokeperson for it but it is a great new procedure people should know about it!

I would be skeptical of any foreign object being permanently placed in my body without knowing what it would do to it in the long run. Better be safe than sorry. Next, we’re going to hear how she’s a spokesperson for cancer drugs when she develops cancer of the fallopian tubes!!!!

  8. mascara says:

Get ready to be bombarded with the birth story, weight loss beach pictures and birthday pictures. I give her another year at most unless she or her husband suddenly get jobs doing something meaningful instead of selling out their family.

  9. Crumpet on top says:

If they are done having childen why can’t he get a vasectomy? It is even simpler and sfer than Essure. She’s stupid anyway.

ew, i know!!! makes me queasy.

I had the the Essure done a month ago. It took an hour and a half and the coil was not placed properly in my left tube. they are coming out next week.

  12. Anonymous says:

She is speaking about it publicly because she is obviously getting paid from Essure.

    Exactly!

  15. Gisela says:

Maybe she is a paid spokesperson for the product, this makes me wonder why is it always the woman who has this done. Men very rarely get vasectomies.

  16. Jan says:

Mine did ! When I had to go off the pill it was either I get something done or the BF. Once we talked about how much easier it would be for him then me and the fact that he didnt want kids more then I did ( tho I dont want them either its just a scale of who wants them less lol ) he went and had a vasectomy. Now you can bet we didnt go shouting that from the rooftops so I really question this “press release”. It really makes me look at her in a differernt light completely. Sell out for sure.

  17. lis says:

Er, I imagine it’s more of a case of men rarely speaking about getting vasectomies. I know many men that have done it – in fact, of my male friends that already have children, probably 40% have had a vasectomy. Maybe it’s more common in my area than yours… but I know very few women who had sterilisation procedures for birth control methods. Most I know that had it done were for health reasons first.

WOW i’m surprised i can’t say anything negative about these couple, and i’m really good at it !! they are just so nice & cute :)

The Essure is the absolute worst procedure I’ve ever had, and I am having the coils removed next week.

  20. Anonymous1234 says:

you can’t get them removed, your fallopian adheres to the coil ..

  21. Amy says:

She must be getting paid by Essure, otherwise why should she think it is any of our business or that we even care.

  22. Anonymous says:

Yes! I had it done 3 years ago and its great! Maybe she is getting paid by the company to talk about it???

  23. Anonymous says:

Trista won’t wipe her butt unless she’s paid to talk about the toilet paper. This gal makes a living this way. To each his own, but I’m sure that’s why she’s talking about it. Her life is one big exercise in product placement.

  24. Anonymous says:

yes, if it has been only a month. I will undergo a hysteroscopy, and then have a tubal.
