Kanye West Is Working On His Ego

Kanye West Is Working On His Ego

For those of you who don't watch the very adult cartoon, South Park, they poked fun at rapper Kanye West by spoofing him as a gay fish and making fun of his notorious ego (I'm not sure why the fish's sexual orientation was relevant, but I didn't see it). Kanye responded on his blog.

South Park murdered me last night and it's pretty funny. It hurts my feelings but what can you expect from South Park! I actually have been working on my ego though. Having the crazy ego is played out at this point in my life and career. I use to use it to build up my esteem when nobody believed in me. Now that people do believe and support my music and products the best response is thank you instead of 'I told you so!' "

You could pick my jaw up off the floor right now! This post sounds incredibly insightful. Maybe his new girlfriend, Amber Rose, is this positive influence?

Well, good for him! I'll be keeping an eye out for this new Kanye ;)

It's about damn time!!!! I really can't stand Kanye, simply because of his huge ego. That episode of South Park was soooooo funny!! The gayness really doesn't have anything to do with it, they just added it in there because they thought he had said "fish d*cks" instead of "fish sticks" so he must be gay if he likes the former. ROFLMAOH!!!!! }i{mariah_fan}i{

the joke that offended the cartoon version of kanye was, hey do you like fishsticks? (which when they said it sounded like fish dicks)yes. so you like fishsticks in your mouth? yes. what are you a gay fish?!? it's meant to be stupid but thats why they called him a gay fish.

Normally I'd hate someone with an ego like Kanye, but unfortunately I think he's right about himself lol. His music is always original - a true artist. I don't necessarily like all of his music, but I can respect what he does and how good he is at it. That being said, I would certainly like him even more if he could let his work do that talking rather than his mouth... it could definitely be a positive female influence, but generally speaking, it takes guys longer to grow up and realize a lot, especially when you're already a narcissist (after all, how many famous people aren't?). Hopefully he is slowly growing up a little bit and tasting some of that good ol' humble pie. Life is much sweeter that way anyway, right?

I'll believe it when I see it... Doesn't he always post in all caps? There's a change right there. I agree with the others though. I like his music but refuse to listen to it because of the type of person he is.

Despite the fact that his music is not my cup of tea, i can't stand him because of his damn HUGE EGO. He sounds so entitled in every interview.

Its nice to see a cartoon can even get under his skin. He just needs to keep his yap closed and cap locks off.

The sexual orientation of the fish was because there have been numerous rumors about Kanye's sexual orientation.

I don't give a damn about his orientation but, seriously, he & his so-called-girlfriend don't give me the tiniest couple vibe. Idk, it always seems like they are just putting up a show.

I've always been thinking that Kanye's just overdoing the whole ego thing because of his own insecurities.. I know a lot of people who do that.. They feel like they have to compensate, it's a defence mecanism. Coming from a rough background and having people giving u s*** the whole time makes u harden yourself, and so u can easily become this selfcentered, arrogant prick. Hopefully he is being honest and is just having hard time letting himself go. Maybe he will come down from his high horse someday. Anyway, i Looove his music. I trie to avoid reading about him, 'cause i don't want his person to affect to me listening his music.

What. Matt stone and Trey parker did that,not Amber Rose. They are the best at what they do which is satirize the gap between reality and the impossible. Its not adult in the sense that there is swearing which is part of human life anyway, its adult because it deals with popular culture and the kind of vulgarity we partake in everyday. SP has been responsible for bringing down egos of everyone from George clooney to Kanye because that 'cartoon' despite so much judgement for mommy types really showcases the real nature of hype and frenzy and delusional behaviour from the overinflated. If shows like that and the Daily Show didn't exist, George Clooney would think Hollywood cured AIDS and Kanye would think he is God's best friend. On another note, nobody equated Christian Bale with his rant. Everyone is aware of his talent. I don't know who the author has been talking to who only remembers the rant.
