Hugh Jackman Caught In Twitter Mix Up
Woops! This is what happens when celebrities hire assistants to handle their social media pages - you get caught. :)
Hugh Jackman is one of the MANY celebrities who have a Twitter account. However, he wasn't actually the one doing the updating. A member of his team was adding notes to his feed and made a mistake referencing one of Australia's landmarks. This tipped off fans following the actor and eventually forced Hugh to release a statement.
Jackman’s Twitter blogging came under scrutiny in his native country this week after he mistakenly referred to Sydney’s famous Opera House as the ‘Opera Centre.’
"I communicated it over the phone and when that got translated by someone American in my office it came out all wrong.
"I do know the Opera House is called the Opera House - I think I had my high school leaving assembly at the Opera House when I was 18 so I should know that one."
Jackman is not the first star to be caught using an online marketing team to manage their internet accounts - both 50 Cent and Britney Spears rely on staff members to help with their web exploits.

Really? Are you that naive to think Hugh Jackman has the time/want/need to update his Twitter account? It is promotional work done on his behalf, and if you believe otherwise you are completely delusional. Lets see, as long as you agree with a comment, they are welcome. As long as everything is true I don't think it matters who does the typing. Unless the celebrity says that they are doing it.
I've been to a few jackman fan forums and everyone there figured he must not be writing it himself. It's not a big shock and in my opinion (and everyone else's opinion on those forums) not a big deal..

If a celeb doesn't actually verbally say that they have a MySpace, Facebook, Website, Blog, Twitter, or whatever then I don't believe its really them.
